I think it's the opposite of filling. It's like the "reverse" so you can save your grapey goodness when you fill an effed up carto.
Leaford is a trip! Talked to him a few times on Skype back in the day, when he was still with V4L, he's as crazy as he seems in the video's!
The "Taryn spin" was devised by one of the V4L regulars (I sure miss her, she's good people!) to get the juice soaked into the filler material thoroughly. the "Reverse Taryn Spin" was devised for drying carto's out quicker after washing them.
Back in the day, we had to work our butts of to vape! Most of the carto's sucked, we used blue foam, tea bag's, whatever we could think of to make them last longer and taste better! V4L was one of the first to come out with a cartomizer that actually worked well enough you could wash them out and reuse them a few times!
All we had was 3ohm atty's, didn't matter who you bought them from, it was a 3.7v battery and a 3ohm carto! Then came the stacked battery mods and they upped the resistance. Then someone thought "Hey, we can up it, why not lower it so it works better on the lower voltages!" Then they watched the flashlight world and got into 3.7v battery mods, then again, borrowing from the flashlight world the found ways to vary the voltage.
Lots of hidden history on this forum, a lot of very brilliant people forged innovative technology on this site. I can remember a time when you shelled out $160 for a "Chuck" and were happy to have it in hand in three to four months!
