My daughter, who is neither a smoker nor a vaper, was recently experiencing similar symptoms to what you have described. She went to her doctor who diagnosed a severe case of GERD, for now which she is being treated. Gastroesophageal reflux disease - PubMed Health
Also, when I first started vaping, I suffered from horrendous acid reflux. My 'chest pain' was from the niquids getting into my stomach and pissing it off. Soooo.... see a doctor and make sure it is not something terrible, and/or try a really good antacid medication?

that was my thought too.

Wow - that's a good point! I used the 510 titan for about a month. It was great ...but then eventually I felt my eyes bugging right out of my blue face and my ears popping in my attempts to get "enough" draw. I'd really recommend an EGo Twist 650 and the 510 Excalibur tanks (plus the power adapter for the 650 size batteries) and see if that works better for you.

Using such a small battery (180 mah?), you may be drawing harder than you realize in order to get a good hit. A trip to a doctor sounds like good advice if you're worried or unsure about the cause.

The other thing you might like to try is to vape more like smoking a pipe outside in a deck chair on a warm sunday afternoon... slowly inhale 2-3 mouthfuls, hold the vapor in mouth and enjoy the flavor, breathe in and then out. That may provide what you need without bursting blood vessels in your brains or elsewhere.....

See a doctor and quit vaping until you see them. You may have an allergy or your vaping to much. I am new but not to lung problems. I was a 2-4 cigar a day inhaling smoker at the end. It could be allergy, irritation by a flavor or who knows. I have had pneumonia twice and a bunch of Viral bronchitis and infections. They are nothing to mess with . Stop vaping at least for now and see a doctor. I was also a first responder for a while. The doctor will tell you more than we can and you'll feel better. Anything on here would be guessing.

I had a friend that experienced tightness in the chest and realized it was from PG and he can only vape at 100% VG. I had another friend that tried everything and finally realized she was allergic to the filler inside cartomizers and she can only use clearomizers and then she is fine. It could be something like that for you maybe. I just thought I should mention what I've heard from others. I hope you feel better and figure it out.

I had the same problem when I first quit, the lungs would be tight and it would burn. However, it went away after a while. I chain vape all day since I first started, that could of been one of the reason. But who knows, the lungs might just be in the healing process from the tar build up. On the bright side, i'm not getting those pains anymore, hopefully it is the same for you.

I would recommend that you talk with your doctor about this. If you need to smoke, get a pack of smokes. I smoked cigarettes for over 4 months when I started vaping, and slowly cut down on the cigarettes over that period, until I stoped the cigarettes completely. There is nothing that says you can't do both and make the change a gradual one.

But I would strongly urge you to let your doctor know about this.

hey guys, I'm new to this forum and needs some advice because I'm freaking myself out. I vape about a cart a day ever since I stopped analogs 2 weeks ago and just today at 3pm my right lung started to hurt, its 8pm now and it still hurts. I use a 60/40 vp/pg blend from okcvapes strawberry fl. I use a small 180mah battery with a Oalkey 510-t atomizer and matching tank. Has any other newbies or elders had any problems with lung pain ? Its really freaking me out and any advice would be helpful

Another thing may be the fact you stopped smoking 2 weeks ago. Your body is going through a detox, and trying to rid itself of all the nasties in your body and this could be some of the issue. A week after I quit, I had the worst case of bronchitis I had in years. Doc told me it's possible to get sick during trying to quit, and it's pretty normal to have sickness and coughing more than when you smoked.

Any type of chest pain, lung pain, breathing issue, go to a doctor. Better safe than sorry.

If the pain is causing you concern, then you need to see a doctor.

That said, if you were coughing up the junk, that may be what is causing the pain. Perhaps you pulled a muscle. I have had a pain like that with pneumonia, I couldn't stop coughing and figure it was a pulled muscle or something. Of course, I had seen a doctor so was getting the pneumonia treated.

I know this sounds weird but it might be heart burn. I was diagnosed with GERD in January and that's exactly what my heart burn is like. I thought the doc had a screw loose because I've always got "normal" heart burn but in January I was having weird pain on the sides of my chest and weird feeling in my throat.

Just thought I would give you guys an update . I just got back from the doctor and 150 bucks and 10 days worth of antibiotics later I found out its esophajitis (infection in the esophagus ) I would like to apologize publicly to my vaporizer for blaming it for this . The doc said that in no way did vaping cause or would it hinder the healing process. She said vape away! So see you guys in a couple of days with an update I'm going to bed and heal up( with my vaporizer )

Glad to hear the Dr. identified the issue. There are *so many* things that could have caused those symptoms, and even all of us put together couldn't do what a Dr. could.

... I would like to apologize publicly to my vaporizer for blaming it ...

Now go and carress it, kiss it, and treat it to some gourmet ejuice.

I know I woke up this morning and the first good morning cough had a little bright red blood and I freaked out .... Straight to the doctor I went . My wife had to talk me out of the er because that's where I was going first but I waited until 8 am and went to the clinic . The doc said the bright red blood would be normal for what she said is going on and not to freak out about it. It was just a little and not dark red witch would have been worse. So antibiotics for me for a while . Really great that she said not to stop vaping. So as long as I can quite being a hypochondriac( please god no cancer). and just relax about it everything should be ok

Well, it isn't wonderful that you have an infection, but it IS wonderful that you went to the doc and were diagnosed so you can get better - and it IS wonderful she said to vape away. Thank you for letting us all know. So many get the answer they seek and then just wander off without saying a word, which doesn't help anyone else who's in the same predicament. So Thanks again! :toast:
