Just an idea, but due to dropping this thing more than 2x and the killer 2x resulted in switch damage I thought I'd throw this out there.

This would help me... I will drop the damned thing, no matter how nice it is. It rarely leaves my hand (except to fall at the airport[EDIT: TWICE!]).

It would be nice to get this added to a chuck for say $5 on top...

Thoughts?

Just outside my comfort zone.

I think its been discussed that the washer on the switch and length of switch is inadequette for holding additional things...great idea tho....I think the real solveable way to these things is to search every site on the net and try n find a better switch to fit the Chucks roundness and width...I did in the past and came up with what Jeff already uses. It would take Jeff using a different, more time consuming and more expensive approach to have a switch say like the SB...which is ideal, but then the Chuck would have a longer waiting period, esp w the generous graphics he puts on for free and clearcoats over, etc.. i would think it would go from $80 shipped to over $120 shipped...his warranty is like no other..you can say Jeff, I was drunk in a bar fight, hit a guy in the head w my Chuck trhen threw it and it broke. Hell say...send it in, ill fix ya up...not many ppl would accept that into thier "warranty"...so far, the ring around the button works great for some, Ive even thought about gluing a foam ring around mine but it would ruin my graphics. Ive perfected the art of Poofin my Chuck, loosenin the atty a few turns and sliding into my pocket...with several paranoid "misfire checking" thruout time Chuck is pocketed....I was pretty clumsy w my Chuck at first but now It seems weve bonded and I never even drop it anymore...

But just bc the washer wont hold that down-----dont stop thinking creatively...your next idea MAY be THE one! Im excited to see this idea brought up again, as so far, the ecig was invented....then perfected, then came mods and one of us WILL one day PERFECT that darn Chuck switch.....will it be YOU? ME? Highping? Peoia? NSG?
Dunno, but ONE of us WILL breakthru n perfect it one day :)

I am thinking if Jeff could come out with something like this http://www.d2power.com/catalog/images/Toggle Switch 2.jpg , using the usual switch instead of the toggle switch , shown in the pic..

that wld be nice and you wouldnt risk popping the atty when you put the chuck in your pants.. :D
if it was sized for the switch he uses, if u find one, send him a pm, im sure hed contemplate offering it as an option, i know id like one on my next one...as long as its small and not a toggle ;) like the current swith w a smaller version of pictured flip cover...good find! If it were as big as the switch(tiny), it wouldnt mess the design up but sadly, unless metal, it would prob break easily at the hinge w the abuse we put our chucks thru...hmmm:(
