So Cal
My first mini reo arrived today - I bought it from the classies a few days ago (fast shipping!). I've never had a bottom feeder before, so this is all new to me :) First question, it needs a good cleaning! It has some fairly strong blue eliquid in the bottle, and I'm not sure whether it's ok to take the whole rio (tube and all?) and just dump it in alcohol? It came with a 306 atty - can I do the same with that?

I use cartotanks, so dripping is entirely new to me. I realize I'll need to get an rba at some point, but for now I thought I'd just try what it came with.

I'm impressed with how small it is!

YES....LOL Thank you so much :) Now, not that I'm going to use it, but why won't it work with my 3.0 ohm cartotank?

Most cartotanks need an adapter to reach the center pin on the reo connector because the tank itself doesn't fit inside the catch cup of the mod, rather it sits on top...so my guess is the center pin on the carto tank isn't making contact with the one of the mod. Can you tell us if your mini is the original mini (uses a 14500 battery) or if its a 2.0 or 2.1 (uses an 18490 battery)? Better yet...can you post some pictures?

Excellent idea - I have one of those!

It's an original mini.

Okay...most likely the center pins aren't making contact, so you would probably need to get an adapter for that to work. I would contact Rob about getting an adapter if you decide to go that route. He can make sure it is set properly to minimize the short potential. Most folks don't bother with carto tanks on Reos because of the onboard juice bottle, instead they use either atomizers, cartomizers (non punched/slotted) or RBAs. (all would need to have the whole in center pin to allow for the feeding of juice)

ETA: not sure what devices you are used to using, but you may not get much out of a 3.0Ω on a 14500 3.7v battery anyway....I usually ran 1.5Ω - 2.2Ω atties on my minis depending on the type of juice I was using (sweet vs tobacco).

No I just stuck it on to test it - I'm not going to use cartos on it. I'm trying out the 306 atty with juice bottle - pretty awesome! I might have become a convert:p I'm trying to post a pic but for some reason gmail doesn't want to send from my phone (where I took the photo). Will sort that out and post one!

Ya...the 306 atty was my hands down favorite on my minis.

Congratulations! and welcome to REOville, the home of MUCH easier, less hassle, vaping. I started out with an original mini, I still have it, but I eventually got a grand for the longer battery life and bigger juice bottle. I used attys (about 1.8 ohm) until Robert (REO) came out with the rebuildable.

Rebuildable attys are one of those paths that once you've started down it, you can never go back. No "standard" atty/carto comes close to the performance you can get from one (especially the RM2 from Robert).

If you eventually go the rebuildable route, consider getting an extra spring or 2, and something to check the resistance of the atty with.

Be sure to add yourself to the REO Households count here, (Karen, a.k.a. Nerak updates it every thursday) and don't hesitate to ask any questions you have.

(You might want to start thinking about what color(s) your next will be, after you've gotten a REO, the thought of ever being without one is scarey :) )

Yeah, I know I'm going to end up with the rm2....,I seem to have spent so much money since I quit the analogs:p I have an ohm meter coming in the mail and some kanthal, I've watched a few videos, so I'm almost ready to take the next step. I'd like to start with a cheap rba first, and I have one coming from AIV - really, really cheap, so I hope it works on my reo.

LOL I just saw the teeny tiny print about more reos............:mail:
