Yeah, I know I'm going to end up with the rm2....,I seem to have spent so much money since I quit the analogs:p I have an ohm meter coming in the mail and some kanthal, I've watched a few videos, so I'm almost ready to take the next step. I'd like to start with a cheap rba first, and I have one coming from AIV - really, really cheap, so I hope it works on my reo.

Robert has just started listing a modified Igo S on his site here, pretty inexpensive for a rebuildable and no question it will work on the REO. I'm not sure if you need to let him know it's for an original mini, but can't hurt.

Hit or miss, I've had attys last me 4 or 5 weeks and I've had them die in 3 days. Get a few spares, even if you switch to an rba they make good spares in case something goes wrong with the RBA. The cheap RBA you have coming in probably wont be a bottom feed version. It will work on the Reo but you wont be able to feed juice from the bottle, you'll have to drip from the top. You can modify it by drilling a feed hole or cutting a grove with a dremel.

Edit: almost forgot, Welcome to Reoville!

Hmm, better see if any of my local B&Ms carry them - thanks!

How long generally do 306 attys last? I'm going out of town next week for a few days, so I don't want to find I'm up the creek and without one! Of course, I have no way of knowing how long the previous owner used it for...

The 306 and other atomizers are a bit tough to learn. Make sure you do not squonk right after you get a dry hit! My first two 306 popped/quit really fast, like two hours, and the next second day. I did not know to wait for the coil inside to cool before I squonked juice on it.

Any cartos or atomizer can or may stop working at any time. I always had spares if going out. That is the drawback on them.

If you find some 510 around they will work also. You will need a different 510 drip tip.

Thanks - I didn't know that! I do have some spare 510 attys around I tried before for dripping - so I can always use those if worst comes to the worst!

Your 510 attys should work fine. Also, here's a thread about which RBAs will work. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/reos-mods/377836-reo-compatible-rbas.html The thing is, they have to have a hole in the bottom so the juice can come up from the juice bottle and there aren't that many out there that do have. The cheapest one that works on a REO that I know if is the A7, and it has its own problems sometimes.

Congratulations on getting your little Mini....isn't it cute? I love the Mini Reos. Welcome to REOville.

So can anyone tell me the difference between the RM2, the low profile RM, and the Igo bf that Rob just listed? Which is the easiest to rebuild and use for a total novice?

The low profile RM2 is not milled. It is for the LP Grands.

The RM2 is milled to fit all metals and most wood REO's.

The IGO is brand new on the REO site. I don't have experience with it but Robert has used one and commented on this thread:
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/reos-mods/506227-another-modified-rba.html

All the RBA's that Robert lists have been modded by Robert to be bottom fed. He does not "make" them but he makes sure they will work well on our REO's.

The RM2 is by far the best. It has a ceramic deck. That means your coil would not short if it happens to touch. The posts are far apart and very easy to build a coil and install. You have lots of room to move your coil to fit your vaping preference. High, low, close to the air hole or not.

I have used a cheaper RBA. It had lots of problems and was a real pain compared to the RM2.

Thanks so much - I think I'll just have to order one :) But I believe I need a mod kit to make it work on the original mini - I'm assuming it's not hard to install? Any idea how much that will be (I don't see anything like that listed)?

No kit is needed. I use RM2s on two original minis and they are a great match.

Good looking reo ya got. Start thinking about the color for #2 after you sell off other stuff ;)

You are part of the group. You are an official Reonaut. There are Reonots, Reonaughties and Reonauts. If you are a Reonot you can not be a Reonaut. If you are a Reonaughty then you are by definition a Reonaut. If you are a Reonaut then by definition you are not a Reonot.

Don't miss the lecture and powerpoint presentation on "Sub-Ohm vaping and Battery Safety" by Pdib, 8PM in the Reovilles Town Hall tomorrow night. Following the lecture, cookies by Jan, Jen and Dennis will be served along with some special brownies provided by our vaping friends from Colorado and Washington State. Don't forget Wednesday is garbage pickup day in Reovil.

Todays weather report from Reovile is 75, low humidity and puffy white clouds against a deep blue sky.

Without further adieu, your badge. Wear it proudly.

Congrats and welcome to the mad house of happy vapers. Nice looking Mini you've got there. I'm sure it will serve you well. If it's in your budget I would go with the RM2 if not try the igo s. You might wanna get a couple extra springs and post screws. I wouldn't try the B&M for a RBA as most are not bottom fed.
