Rio seems like its not producing enough vapor

So this is my 2nd day with the Rio, my first e-cig, and it seems to me like its not producing as much vapor as it should. I have a spare atomizer on its way, so I will see if that makes any difference, but for now I am stuck trying to figure out why I am not getting enough vapor for a lung/throat hit. One thing I have noticed is that when I take off the cart and blow into the atty, the coil heats up and produces a little vapor but its very hard to get it to burn bright red. It always turns bright red for no more than a second and then cools back down, even if i am still blowing directly into it. This happens both with a fully charged batt and the usb passthrough. To me it seems like its not producing enough heat to vaporize the liquid sufficiently, which may explain why there is so much excess liquid on the outside of the cart when I take it off. Any suggestions?

I have already tried that, and while it does seem to produce a little more vapor and burn off the extra juice like you said, i'm still not getting ".... hits" or even clouds/plumes of vapor. The exhale is a wimpy little stream of smoke that dissipates almost immediately. Again, I believe the problem lies within the atomizer because the coil is not burning bright red for more than a second before cooling back off.

If you have any spare liquid, try dropping a few drops directly inside the atomizer to get it going..I find my Rio works best with a super smooth easy draw as opposed to a quick/hard draw. Experiment and let me know how it goes and if you have any further issues I'll make sure you're taken care of.
Thanks,
Ben

I have tried every method of inhaling I can think of, and I still get the same results. Again, I think the problem lies with the atomizer coil not fully heating up. It may also have something to do with the automatic battery cutoff (which IMO is a bit too short). Taking off the cartridge, if I lightly blow into the atty (NOT with my lips sealed around it) I can hear the atomizer sizzling and see a little bit of vapor being produced but by the time it heats up to bright red (optimum heat for maximum vapor) it hits the cutoff and cools down. Another thing worth noting is that a fully charged battery only lasts me about 2 hours. I'm not sure why but that may have something to do with the atomizer's current draw from the battery. As I stated before, I have another atomizer on the way so I will see if that makes a difference.

Just a question Ben, does this sound like a battery problem? I know you pulled the Rio from stock due to reoccuring battery issues, so I'm wondering if in fact this has something to do with the battery. The symptoms I am experiencing are;

- Weak vapor production
- Inconsistent cutoff (sometimes 1-3 seconds, sometimes 5-7)
- Battery dying after 2-3 hours of use even after a full charge (left overnight on the charger)
