Russell Green was my best friend (PERIOD). I met him 4 years ago in a Columbus bar called Lovell's bar & grill on Alum Creek, where he noticed that I was using e cig devices and i told him I was not a smoker but a "vaper" and he was very interested. Interested in my devices and the vapor i was exhaling and not smoking and everything that had to do with the subject, I mean he was simply mesmerized by vaping. Truthfully, Ever since that day, he was all about e-cigs, DIY e liquid, all types of mods and whatever vaping and I had to offer him. He immediately quit smoking and he was a 2 pack a day smoker. He was completely mystified by "Vapring" and the lifestyle. He wanted to know everything, as fast as he could learn. Over the years, I'd helped him with all things vaping related, he shared my passion as a best friend, vaper, modder, Coil maker, e cig fanatic and some would say "Cloud Chaser" but I loved him like I loved my flesh and blood brothers and we spent a lot of time together. We often swapped and traded PV's, RBA's and tanks. He was an employee of Buckeye Vapors in Grove City, Ohio. He and I were very close and it is weighing on me very hard to post this thread even the day after he has passed. He had recently got a new BMW and he was hell bent to drive it like a race car. Feb 2nd he lost controll, flipped the car 3 times and was ejected from the vehicle. He had no life insurance.

Russell age 39 playing with a kitty and that's my BAM that I'm using as I type this,....... sobbing. I can't explain the magnitude of my loss. Our families were planning a cookout to celebrate his 40th birthday.

Hey Vatic. My name is Torey. I am so sorry for your loss and I know your heart is heavy with sadness. What a tragic accident to read about and my heart goes out to his wife and family. Sometimes you can just look at a picture of someone and know by the smile and the sparkle in their eyes, just how much they loved life and the joy they brought to all that knew them. You were quite lucky to have known him and called him your friend. I am sorry there are no words that can ease the loss you are feeling. I imagine you are still somewhat in shock and I know it is going to take time for any healing to begin. But that man in that picture, would want you to take care of yourself and I hope you will find the strength that you need right now to be able to handle this loss. Good thoughts from a perfect stranger coming your way.

Thank you so very much. He was the kinda guy that liked to go fast. The accident happened on a stretch of country road that is a bit hilly, corn fields on both sides. We dont now yet much of anything but I do know that his car came off the ground and landed left of center and then he lost control, flipping the car 3 times, landing upside down in a corn field. He was life flighted but passed shortly after reaching the hospital. He will be missed by many, he was a great guy. Thank you again.

Yes I saw a picture of the crash in an article. Glad it appears that the passenger is in stable condition. Asking why and playing the "if only" game is all a crucial part of the grieving process that we must all endure. In the end, there is the acceptance and we learn to celebrate their life rather than mourn their passing. Just remember. . .
