Riva 510 battery / charger problem....

Hi,

Perhaps a few of you kind vapours can offer opinion on my charger situation.

I've done a bit of problem solving and identified the ambigous item to be a standard USB charger....

Items used in the test
1 x fully charged (?) Riva 750mah battery
2 x main plugs, 1 original issue, 1 brand new
2 x usb charger/dongles, 1 original issue, the other brand new *original are 6 weeks old

My Riva battery on my original plug socket / dongle gives a green light on the USB thing, appearing fully charged. If I put the same battery then on to the new USB dongle and the new main socket, the red light comes on as if it's taking more charge.

So, i experiment - I swap the USB dongles to the other mains plugs and identify that the trait is that of the USB dongle, not the main plug.

Why would this be happening? Your thoughts greatly appreciated.

Have had the flicker issue as well. More often than not (so it seems - issues seem to vary), the green USB charger light will occur after the bat flashes/blinks several times, then goes off. But sometimes, no blinking at bat. With latter, once bat off charger depressing bat button produces zero response - no "fire" light. But, if center post shorted to threats flashing/blinking at bat will occur. Measured voltage (even though no "fire" if bat button depressed) will vary. Have two currently in this condition. One measures at 4 volt range and second just below 3.7 volts. Seemingly inconsistent. If bats attached to USB charger and USB connection plugged into wall unit (but wall unit not plugged into wall receptical) connection of USB to wall unit brings red light of wall unit on. ???
