The Riva 901 is the part of the next generation of electronic cigarettes. This generation of devices improves on the last generation by having a much larger capacity battery, over 4 times as large as a standard DSE 901 battery. The device is not particularly long, it is similar in length to a standard 901. However, the battery has a larger diameter that allows for its larger capacity. To balance the aesthetics of the device, a cone attaches to the battery and smooths line between the battery and the atomizer end.
What hasn't changed from this generation to the last generation is the atomizer on the device, a standard 901 (or low resistance) atomizer fits the device and any 901 carts will fit as well. Our Riva 901 kits come with 1 x standard resistance atomizer and 1 x low resistance atomizer.
It is essential that users maintain a healthy supply of atomizers to hand and because of this, we recommend a stock of 3 to be kept on hand. Whilst every care has been taken to manufacture these devices to a high specification, due to the nature of the device the life of an atomizer will vary from one user to the next.
The battery of an electric cigarette is what is used to power the atomizer. Despite their small size they can last up to 12 hours+, depending on usage. A battery disconnected from the atomiser will hold its charge like any other rechargeable battery. It is recommended that a stock of at least 2 batteries is kept at any one time.
A typical cartridge lasts around 3 to 5 real cigarettes.
A typical battery will usually last around a day, depending on vaping habits.

The main drawback of the standard 901 starter kit is the battery life and the Riva improves in this department by allowing for 4 times as long between charges. The standard atomizer gives a more mellow vape, flavours are pronounced and the vapour is cooler. The low resistance atomizer hits a lot harder, produces more vapour at the cost of a reduction to the flavour and a shorter life span of the atomizer. Low resistance atomizers also require more battery power so will drain the battery quicker than the standard atomizer. Given that it has a much larger capacity battery it can handle low resistance atomizers that simply drain standard batteries too quickly and damage them. For new users, it carries across the same easy use principles from the standard kit and for established users the problem with having to carry multiple batteries is no more. The main draw back is that they look less like standard cigarettes than older models because of the larger diameter battery.
Overall, the Riva 901 is a versatile e-cigarette due to its ease of use, low start up and running cost and excellent performance.
