I have only Rivas and while I'm thrilled with the battery life the gold band rubbed down to ugly super fast. Now I know the batts will not last forever anyhow, but I kinda wanted to have these as a 'pretty' ecig when I went out. So my question is this - does anyone have both Riva and Ego? Does the silver band on ego wear off just as quick?

Thanks!!!

I've had 3 Rivas since the beginning of August and they all look as good as the day I got them including the gold band, still shiny and gold and I keep them all in rotation or in use at the same time with different juices. Odd that yours started to wear so fast. If you've gotten juice or something else on them that might be the cause, only thing I can figure.

Oh I'm sure some juice has been on it however I think its pretty obvious its where I contact with my fingers. A very small ring around the button is still as gold and shiny as ever (where the button keeps my skin from touching it. Maybe I'm a chemical mutant LOL I know we all have different chemical makeups(ya know how different people smell so different with the same perfume on) so maybe its just me ;)

OK, for the heck of it, I used some "never dull" polish on the worst of the batteries, to see what would happen. The "gold" ring is now silver, except for a bit around the button! So I guess my fingers WERE eating through the plating! But it looks nice and shiny now, so it's all good.

OOh, I've got to try that at some point, as I hate the gold on the Riva's! I prefer my silver eGO's :)
