I've had no problems charging my Riva with the supplied charger. I just screw it in until the blue light on the button flashes, the red light on the charger comes on steady and walk away.

Which charger did your kit come with? Mine is the standard Riva USB "fast" charger, looks like a USB cable with about a 1.5" square box with a small red LED at the end where you screw on the battery.

Borrowed an adapter from a Tornado charger and all's well. But I can't get contact to the battery when I screw it directly to the usb cable connector (the black plastic thing with the red/green light).

sounds like you have one of the chargers that require you to use an adapter. check on one of the retailer sites that actually sell Riva chargers and get one of those. That should resolve your issue.

Thanks all for the speedy replies....seems the rear contact point of the Riva usb quick chargers have some degree of flexibility. I tried some force screwing the battery to the charger till I heard "crack"...thought I broke it so I just continued screwing and "bingo" the blue battery light starts blinking, indicating contact made. BTW, for me, any "Ego" type device with a LR (low resistance) atomizer attached to a drip tip is the only way to go right now...at least till I get my "Little Sister" mod.

Thanks again and gimme a shout if you spot someone vaping and blowing spaghetti O sized rings from a platinum Riva at some casino in the tri state area.

I recently received some Riva batteries from Liberty Flights that would only charge on one of the two USB chargers I have. The RIVA on these new batteries have a larger type size than the original batteries that came with my first Riva kit. I believe that QC in China was on vacation that day as the threading on these new batteries is a bit off. I would return the Riva batteries that do not work on your USB charger under warranty and get replacements. Otherwise, you do not have may options except to buy another USB charger and see if the offending batteries might charge on them.

Ok, so I got to thinking..."What's this screw-like device down in the threads of the battery?" Turns out, that if you get a screwdriver and turn that little screw, it moves out towards the end of the atty threads. So, I put it on the charger and viola! Battery is charging!

Now to get rid of this juice 'cause frankly, it blows and not in the good way. I get no flavor, mostly a 'burnt' flavor, and a burning sensation in my throat. This is from the 'New Out of Box' atty and carts. Too much TH Ima thinkin. Got some juice from vaperite coming. We'll see what the other end of the spectrum tastes like.

On a positive note, the Riva 901 kit has lasted me since last Thursday evening with no charging and moderate vaping and still going strong! Very satisfied with the hardware.

A new 510 carto was a little too crooked on it's threads to let me screw the cone piece on to my Riva.
I turned the screw on the atty connection and it now screws further down, level with the battery body
enough to straighten the carto up and put the cone on...
Thanks for the idea, it worked in reverse, but solved a little niggly issue... cheers!
