Interesting to read. What concerns me is RJR is getting into the e-cig business. I guess they want the business they lost when we went to vaping. I personally wouldn't use their stuff. But if it gets more people vaping instead of smoking, then it's a good thing.

RJR is simply covering their bets with an entry into the vaping world. a big tobacco company entering the arena does so with a big target on their head. on the other hand, it also enters with a big wallet which could help defend some of our rights. mixed bag on this for sure. i'll wait until someone with more legal background comes in and explains the pros and cons before i jump on any wagon.
remember when sattelite radio was just beginning? the terrestrial radio stations were trying to make things difficult. however, the biggest stockholders for xm and sirius radio were those same terrestrial radio companies. kinda like have your cake and eat it too!

They are just protecting their brand names. It has nothing to do with e-cigs. They did the same thing with snus. There is a snus made in Sweden called camel and they stopped the import into the US. Same thing happened with a Swedish snus called lucky strike. It is not an attack on e-cigs, but they are simply protecting a brand name.
