Sam, not sure grubs would work. The negatives use the screw heads to capture the wire - as in no side post holes.
What's the best way to remove machine oil from the one I have?? I've even boiled it for 10 mins.
Unless it's my coil but I've had the coil so high it was touching the top and sparking.. luckily I was watching for it and adjust them.

I use pure grain alcohol, 100 plus proof, soak it for an hour then scrub and rinse. Be careful, sounds like u almost shorted your mod.
I use Dawn dish liquid and hot water. Dawn is a good grease and oil cutter. I just put a squirt in a bowl, fill with hot water, and let the atty soak for a few minutes. Rinse real well, and dry.
Dawn (specifically) is good. Grain alcohol works well. Alternatively, you can use denture cleaner - fill a glass with water, put the atty (broken down) in the glass, drop in denture tablets. Easius peasius, as the Romans used to say.
For those that have tried both the RM4 and the RM7 how does the airflow compare?
I havnt tried the rm4 but the airflow of the 7 is only slightly less than the rm6 stillare. Basically almost wide open draw.

Just tried it. Yep - decent MTL action with the afc adjusted down.
Note that there is no single coil afc configuration (unlike the RM4) - both air slots are in play at all times.
Im happy with the RM 7, 2 coils, had one fail earlier today,the leg melted, may have tightened center screw to much and caused a weak spot , will have to be mindfull of this, first ever fail for my REO well it wasnt the REO that failed ,I like the screws that came with it, big philips heads really trap the wire on the neg posts, sets up nice
Ive been using my rm7 on my Sunbox e7 dna 40 btm feeder in temp control mode for nickel wire buils, perfect atty for it as it allows you to secure the nicke under all screw heads firmly. I love it with kanthal on my lp reo too, no mess!!!

Loving my RM7 so far.....had a small issue with the center post spinning as I over did it, but I just kept over doing it until it went back into the center.
This thing is great with 3mm RxW and dual 6 wrap 26G coils....the RxW really sits in there nicely, unlike my Odin/Derringer!

Cant say enough good things about this atty, whatever your build is, if done right, which i find is out to the edge of the atty and as high as the center post, just enough wick to fill the coil and touch the deck slightly, you'll love it. No pocket dribbles or a hand full of juice and one hell of a solid vape. I cant recommend it enough for solid consistent TC builds either!!
My REO has been re-activated into daily use, after a couple days of the RM7 I have switched my primary device back to the REO, the last two sentences say the same thing with differnt words , I didnt actually use periods so the they werent even sentences, any way sorry for that, Im in a good mood , I ground down my REO to LP status without issue a couple days ago and like the RM7 over the K-Funs I was using before, so im back to checking out the REO page,
