So, I have a coil that I built the other day. Works great went through a whole bottle. Put new juice in, new wick (dry burned the coil) and after every sqounk I get 1-2 hits max and on the second one its burning. Like, dry burn I guess is what it's called. I changed the wick again, same thing. The last wick I had I was getting 3 good hits. Not sure if my wick is too big or small. What typically causes this?

Here's a post from another thread that you may want to check...

Only thing I can think of is to make sure your wick isn't too thick and choked down at the coil. If you have too much cotton it won't wick properly. A good test I've used is right after you insert the wick and it's still dry, add a couple of drops of juice on one end only. You should see it wick it's way through the coil to the other side within 2 - 3 seconds. If it doesn't come through it's too tight.

Here's yet ANOTHER helpful hint for this situation

The pics super-x is asking for would be helpful for sure. The issue I was having was not with the screws in the posts, but the posts themselves being loose. They are screwed in to the base of the RM2 and can loosen. Take a small pair of pliers and gently tighten them to make sure they are snug. Hopefully, that might help with your burning issues - assuming the problem is a hot leg on your coil.
