Definitely looks like you need more cotton then. I've also found that it helps cotton to last longer if you continue with you puff about a second or two after releasing the button. The continued air flow around your coil will help it cool down faster.

If you want, I can wrap up a couple ugly coils and drop 'em in the mail to you. What resistance do you prefer?
I've had mixed results with micros and cotton, but the "Rob Endorsed Ugly Coil" with silica has never let me down.
I use a double strand of 3mm silica. Hold the 2 strands even with a straightened paper clip. Wrap the wire pretty tight, mount it, then remove the paper clip. This give the wick room to breath and keeps you from accidentally strangling it.
I use 26awg kanthal. 4 wraps = .5 ohms, 5 wraps = .6 ohms. If you use 28awg, 4 wraps = .8 ohms, 5 wraps = 1.1 ohms.
I don't like going more than 5 wraps on an ugly coil in the RM2, you run outa room. If you need a higher resistance, use a higher gauge wire.

I did! And I drilled the air hole out to 1/16th. That really helped too.
I would suggest to raise the coil slightly too. Just slightly - like a millimeter. You'll get better juice flow that way
