VA cyclone question

Hey folks, quick question about the cyclone. Just picked one up and it doesn't make positive connection with the reo. The positive part of the connection in the 510 of the cyclone is flush/slightly recessed into the atty. It doesn't make connection. My rm2 positive is sticking out a touch and of course works fine. Is this adjustable on the cyclone? I took a screw driver to it and it didn't want to budge. I didn't try super hard as I didn't want to screw it up.

Let me know what you think, otherwise I will send it back doa.

I just got my cyclone in today and the 510 on mine is pretty much flush as well, but mine makes connection. Does it screw on all the way?

Thanks for the replies guys. I did screw it down all the way, it bottoms out and still no connection. I think a very small adjustment will fix it right up.

I'll throw you a pm chowder, I didn't realize you were local. I'm pretty handy and have tons of tools, hopefully we can hash it out pretty easily.

Chowder got me all fixed up, was easy peazy. vaping fine now.
This is my first cyclone and I'm an rm2 guy, occasionally Odin. My rm2 is drilled out pretty airy. This thing is tight as crap! Definitely lots of flavor and throat hit, but I gotta suck my brains out.

Glad he got it going for you. Yeah I had to open mine up to 1/16.

If need be, you could get an afc cap for it. It would let you open up the air, although some say that due to the larger chamber that the afc cap creates, some of the flavour is sacrificed.

The alternative, of course, would be to drill out the hole on your current cap.

Both of my Cyclones were bought used, came drilled bigger. At 3/64" and 7/64" with big bore DT's they both produce tons of flavor rich vapor with my very long lung hits. I simply adjust the speed of my long pulls a little for each size so they fill my lungs equally with great flavor.

If you don't want to drill the hole out you could try to vape slip stream to give you the lung hit effect. I was doing that yesterday (when my cyclone arrived in the mail). I didn't want to drill the cap incase I decide to resell later on down the road, I ordered the AFC when I ordered the cyclone but they shipped separate and it came in today so I'm using it now.

I like it and don't think it skimps on flavor compared to the stock cap. Even if it did and I could tell, I'd just compensate with a hotter coil to really bring out the flavor and throat hit. I'm running dual coils @~.6 ohms and it's working pretty good.

I love the idea of afc cap, just not the price tag. I took a very small round file and ever so slightly opened it. I don't want to open like my rm2, the point was to have a mtl atty. It's really quite perfect now, and honestly, the hole is not visually bigger, just enough to loosen the draw.
