I don't use an RM2 anymore, but I do it own one... You know I wondered what this thread was gonna be about, but I actually have had my old RM2 do the same,.. I thought it was my juice. It builds up at the Phillips head slot, just like you said.

..weird...

I would like to know an answer to this also. Not that I use my rm2 anymore.. I'm a 22mm kinda guy.

My guess is the juice is the culprit. I use my RM2 all day, everyday. But I used unflavored nic,so even after months of continous use, I have no buildup.

Same deal in my wife's woodvil, and my son's grand.

ETA: I vape unflavored nic that I get for around $45 per liter (at 24mg). Even vaping at 24mg, that works out to about $1.35 for 30ml (if my math can be trusted this late at night).

The juice being used has no nic in it. The phillips head screws were corroded. I switched out the screws for the set in my cyclone. I would put the cyclone on the mini, but like I said, this is an old style mini. Cyclone won't fit in the catch cup. The ceramic deck on the RM2 was very discolored also. I used some hot water and a toothbrush on it and got it to off white.

The whole RM2 atomizer is nickle plated brass - even the negative and positive posts are. The only metal is the metal screws themselves. And a metal surface is a playground for rust. Dry burning with water may have caused it.

Try soaking the screws in Apple Cider Vinegar for an hour with a lid on the container to clean the screws. The acid in the vinegar should make them look much better.
