RM2 O-ring. Am i doing it wrong?

i put my o-ring between the base and cap of the RM2 (nothing between the RM2 and the Reo). but looking at the pics on the driptip thread, it looks like a lot of you don't have o-rings on the RM2 itself--but between the RM2 and Reo (around the cup).

so far i've had zero leakage coming from either part...but...

am i doing it wrong?

Drop the O-ring into the cup before screwing on the RM2.

So you don't need an o-ring between the threads of the cap and base of the RM2?

Putting the o-ring between the 510 connection and the RM2 is less about leaking and more about providing the ability to adjust the position of the airhole without having the atty be too loose or accidentally torquing it down too far.

Putting an o-ring on the threads between the atty base and and cap is also a good idea if you get leakage from there.

Nope. I've never had a leak there.

I've never had leak at the threads either and use the o ring as toddos says to adjust the air hole location.

Well I have both going on. One under and one for the cap. I only have it on the cap because I screwed it up. Also I have a bottle o ring under the rm2. Then I have the oring that normally goes under the rm2, where the threads are on the cap. Fits perfect.

I use both too. The one on the 510 connector allows me to adjust the orientation of the atty so that the coil is in the right place, the one between the atty and cap allows me to orient my airhole.

I just got new caps and made my own airholes. no o rings for me anymore.
