So I've been using an a7 on my grand for a few months and finally pulled the trigger on an rm2 for ease of build and drainage. It ought to be here Thurs. The a7 is prone to flooding, and I tend to over squonk. I've settled into a 20/80-10/90 mix in my diy juices, pretty thick, and my question regards drainage in the rm2. For those of you using thicker juices, do you have problems with excess juice going back into the bottle?

I have always only used 100% Vg juices. REO's were made with that in mind. The RM2 has no problem with the high VG juices.

I do keep the cap on the bottle a little tighter with the RM2. It helps keep the juice returning to the tubing and bottle after squonking.

I use about 6 of the A7's on my wood REO's at home. I don't usually flood them. I draw without firing and squonk just a little. It does tend to keep the juice level good.

I have had to lower my nic since getting an rm2 and using microcoils, everyone is different with this so you will have to sort that out.

Regarding the thick juice question, no problem, and if it is a coil gunking juice the cotton wicks are super easy to replace. I started keeping a wad of cotton inside my REO just for this purpose, when out and about.

I couldn't get the hang of making consistent coils enough to switch full time away from 306's until I started making microcoils, especially on the a7. The sturdiness of a micro makes it a lot easier with the z style coil needed for the a7.

It seems to me(my taste buds are fried I'm sure) that I may need to boost my nic. from 15mg. to maybe 18mg., I'm not sure.

Anyone else experiencing similar?
Are you vaping nonstop all day with no end to cravings? That's a sure sign you could stand to step your nic up. I'm not too fond of the taste of nic higher than 24 or so, so I drip a little WTA when my cravings get bad.

I use 50/50 PG/VG all the way to 100 VG. I notice little difference squonking. I've been vaping REOs almost 3 years and various RBAs for over a year so getting the right amount of juice into various RBAs has become second nature most of the time . There's usually a short adjustment any time changing juices and/or RBA. I now use almost exclusively micro coils and cotton wicks. All my juices are butterscotch base except for one, mostly vender made. Main thing I've noticed about coil gunking doesn't seem to be as dependant on PG/VG ratio as it is on what flavorants the venders use. For instance one vender 50/50 just butterscotch gunks coils faster than another vendor's 50/50 just butterscotch.

Of all the RBAs I've had the RM2 is the most forgiving over squonking.

I'm needing to lower my nic a bit with RM2 for most vaping and my RM2s do seem to use more juice than others.
