Something's off here for both of you and wicked. You both seem to be describing flooding in the classic sense, like with a carto or regular atty, where to much liquid is sitting on the coil and it won't fire correctly.I go the wasteful route, pull the drip tip off and shake out the flood onto a paper towel.

With the RM2 on a Reo this should not happen, you should be able to squonk and have juice rise up to and over the coil and then have all the excess drain away and back into the bottle.
when I talk about flooding an RM2 it's really over squonking to close together so juice leaks out the air hole. Typically happens when I'm not paying attention and squonk back to back.
You should check your bottle's seal with the o-ring, too much wick, wick or piece of burnt cotton partially blocking the hole.
