The PCC is a little finicky about all batteries, automatic or manual. They usually just start charging when you close the top of the case, but sometimes you have to kind of jigger them around a little to to activate the red light once or twice before closing the top and activating the cycle. Some people have been putting a little felt under the lid to make a better contact, but I haven't found that doing so makes much difference. It's just a little flakey at times when it comes to starting the charging cycle.

My understanding is that the problem with using 510 manual batteries in the PCC is the switch on the battery. The Joye 510 battery has a switch that sticks out further than the Janty Dura-C manual battery. On some PCC's the 510 battery can't be pushed down far enough in the charging hole or the manual switch gets pressed in when it is inserted into the PCC.

I think igetcha69 has a video on youtube where he modded a PCC by cutting a groove in the side of the charging hole so the 510 battery would fit.

Hi there,
Are the 401 atomizers/batteries compatible with the 402 parts?

Yes, 401/402/403 are all compatible. The only difference between them is the battery size - 401 being the largest (longest) and 403 being the smallest (shortest).

I originally bought 402 and then added 401 batteries, they have 200 mah instead of 180 mah in 401.(don't know how many mah in 403 batteries)

Thanks YKruss for the explanation. So there is no difference between the atomizer for the 401 or the 402? They all use the exact same atomizer? Sorry i should know this since im a seller but i have never gotten anything but the 401 in. Just seems odd especially since on the forums they are treated like different models when its just a smaller battery that separates them.

I should add that the 401 is plenty small if i was a buyer i wouldnt bother with the 402, i guess its just the cute factor, but the 401 is small and why sacrifice battery life and possibly vapor production to have something smaller

1. Yes, all three shares the same atomizer.

2. You know, I do like my 402 because of a size - I can have it in my palm and nobody can see it.

P.S.: ordered 401 and 801 atomizers from you today.
