Sorry, totally off topic, but looking at that photo I just realized that
vaping in a crowd — no matter how consentual — can in fact be ruder than smoking in a similar situation!
Before anyone misquotes a necessary disclaimer: of course smoking is orders of magnitude more harmful both to the puffer and especially those around doing it second hand.
Back to the point, if those were smokers they'd all be inhaling toxic fumes that are essentially the same familiar fumes for everyone, flavour/stink included. No instant nasty surprises (well those nasties creep in reliably after years of use).
Vapers OTOH are likely to have varied tastes and dislikes (which is also why etiquette and good manners matter and we should never inconvenience those nearby).
So back to that crowd in the picture. Do you reckon everyone around appreciates his choice of flavours, which for the sake of argument happens to be skunkberry-cigar-sourmilk-melange?
While I'm on a roll, another off topic point. The Philippines' populist strongman has just decided to ban
vaping and have vapers arrested in a previously
vaping-liberal country that until now was slowly but successfully migrating smokers from stinkies to vapour. Why? Because apparently he can, and there was a case of teenage dual-user who suffered a bout of acute pulmonary distress and, with a little political help I suppose, the einsteins of the local national health service "established" that the case was similar to the dodgy-THC-juice cases in the US and thereby caused by vaping.
That ill teenage girl is now supposed to be well again, but the million vapers soon facing arrest? Hello Big Tobacco!
The
Philippines thread in the
Law and the e-cigarette forum was locked and the info there is about to be dangerously out of date so if any mod reads this, please take notice. Vaping travellers might be in for a rude surprise.
