You mentioned in another thread (now locked, so I could not post this there) that there was ample evidence to support the claim of members from another forum attacking this one. Would you or someone on your staff be able to compile a list of those offenders? Time and 'worth of effort' may be against doing such a thing, but perhaps supplying the information to the admin(s) over there may help them self-police.

Heck, post the info yourself over there if you have the time, you'd be welcome to do so.

Why do I even care about this? Because I believe there is power and strength in numbers. We have a common cause to protect and promote our rights as vapers. All this cross-fighting (or, one-sided attacking, depending on your perspective) is doing nothing to support the Cause. Most over there claim to have that opinion as well - I like to think that, given the opportunity, they would support the outing and policing of their own. They do not ban people over there, but neither are they afraid of calling people to the carpet if they are found to be hurting, rather than helping, the community.

I think a real opportunity to show ECF support for the community was lost when the decision was made here to ban the promotion of a community driven and benefitting fund raising effort simply because the initial announcement came from known members of that forum.

If the admin(s) over there - and here - are truly interested in working to close the rift for the betterment of the vaping community as a whole, perhaps this would be a good way to demonstrate that interest or put to rest once and for all the question of true motive.

Okay, that's enough noise from just 'some guy' that happens to (for the most part) like and participate in BOTH forums.

Dacoopah,

Thank you for your offer. I've been thinking about this. At first we started with a list of names and 'sins', but then I got to thinking: what is the point. All this would do is create more problems for you. And really, there is no need for this any more.

We are all guilty of stirring it or whatever, no one is innocent. Therefore I suggest we just leave it. I was guilty of assuming you were all crazy but that is obviously not the case, and I apologise for it. That was wrong.

Perhaps now is the time to look at all this another way and forget the past. There is also a personal dimension in this for me - I am a heavy smoker and have just started with vaping to see if there is a way out. Of course before I came here I had never heard of PVs. But now, it looks as if this is going to help me some, so there is a different dimension to all this for me now. Since this is a crucial time for PVs, it's make or break for people in some countries, we do need to think about other matters instead of infighting.

I'd like to thank you for your help to smooth things out, and I do need to apologise for 'stirring the pot'. I did make certain statements that were most likely factually incorrect. Let's start over, I can't see the point in providing names because we are all in it. Unfortunately many we know were injured in some way in the recent past but unless we call a halt to it the process will just go on forever.

Just my opinion, you are welcome to differ.

Chris

It was a bad situation on the other thread. We all have a common enemy, those who would restrict or deny our right to vape. Instead of the infighting, we should unite to continue to promote our cause. Different forums, but one cause, let's make that our motto.

Chris, (Rolygate) good luck with the vaping. I started vaping just to cut down on my smoking. The more I vaped, the less I liked smoking. After only a month of vaping, I couldn't stand the smell or taste of cigarettes anymore. After 46 years of smoking, I quit, that was 70 days ago. I hope you have the same results.

Well, I'd like to think to think things just got a little out of hand... stupid ain't the word...

I reckon VF, ECF, and all the FFing lot of of you :D - and everyone else too! - good luck with all your aspirations of a smoke free life!! :)

E-cigs really are the best, and the most exiting, thing that happened to the nicotine addict since the dawn of time (and I've lost my 'About Us' page too ..lol..)...

:) Here's hoping all of us, in this extreme minority cause, can be happy!! :)
