I'm enjoying a nice A&W root beer at the moment. Probably haven't had one in 10 years...makes me want to try and vape some ;) Any of you have a good place to order that flavor? Speaking of root beer and such I probably haven't had a good cream and soda in about 10 years either. Got a place for that flavor? Remember when they all came in glass bottles? Those were the days.

I use in order of trust and taste #1 Flavor west or one of their subsidiaries like Vape Renu. #2 is a tie between The Flavor Apprentice or Flavor arts. FW and TFA both have Rootbeer. I will give you a warning about Root beer though. I know from experience that the TFA is a tank melter. So Glass tanks or Drippers are recommended. I have not had a chance to mix my FW rootbeer so am not sure if it is a tank melter. Vapor Renu will mix you Root beer and what ever level you want on taste, nic level an other ingredients. I am a DIYer so I have not bought any premixed in that flavor.

Weirdly... I have yet to have a bad root beer or root beer float juice. Apparently, either my taste buds are crap, or it's hard to screw up root beer. Saying that, might as well give one of the less costly juice houses a try and get some from Mount Baker. At only $5 for 15ml, you can toss it in the trash if it's nasty to you.

I do the DIY rootbeer from Mt.Baker and for my taste I like it. Vape dudes also makes a root beer float that is excellent.

I have three different Root Beers from three different vendors and they are all pretty good but they all taste like the Root Beer Barrel candy which is very heavy on a licorice flavor. Mountain Oaks Double Barrel is very tasty but not a lot of root beer flavor. My first order from Aqua Vapor is what got me off of analogs but I reordered a 30 ml size and after steeping for 3 weeks all I taste is pepper. MBV root beer I though was going to be a bust when I first got it because it was a heavy licorice flavor but after steeping for 3 weeks it is pretty good. MBV will probably be what I stick with. Again, the three I ordered were the Root Beer Candy flavor, not A&W Root Beer.

I can highly recommend Roar's version.... Roar Vanilla Rootbeer. It was good straight out of the mail, with the vanilla giving it a creamy root beer float taste. But give it a few weeks to steep and everything blends to become one rich and smooth glass of rootbeer yumminess. Now i have to go load a tank, lol.
Good luck in your search!

I had two that smelled great but tasted nasty! Azure Vapor and Velvet Vapor were disappointing.

If you're still looking for Root Beer and can/want to DIY, Watkins makes a wonderful Root Beer flavor concentrate and it's sold in the spice aisle at Walmart. It's about $3 and some change after tax.

Before anyone jumps on me for suggesting this, I've done my research and the only ingredients in Watkins' Root Beer Flavor concentrate is the flavor, PG and caramel color (which many flavorings have). There's also no alcohol either.

I blended at 15% and it came out pretty good. I've not mixed in vanilla or anything else, though if you have some on-hand, you could add a little (1-3%) and really elevate the flavor.

I know there are a few others from Watkins than are concentrates (butter being one) available at Walmart and you can order some of them online as well.

I've thought about the DIY but still pretty new...I wanted to take more time to research before jumping into that. I do have a spare bottle of unflavored that I could try that with. I think the unflavored was maybe 40% cheaper at the site so I got a bottle just to see what it was like. It's still unopened.

So you are saying if I took out approx 15% out of that bottle and added in the root beer Watkins' flavor that would do the trick...and give me a very basic intro into DIY?

The mix ratio depends on the strength of your nicotine base. Higher concentrations have to be diluted down further than lower so you get the right mg per ml ratio.

The 15% mentioned above would be 15% flavor. The remaining 85% would be your Nicotine, VG, and PG.

I'm actually vaping the Watkins Root Beer right now and it's pretty good. It's steeped for about 36 hours and has had a little time to mellow out, so I'd almost recommend going with 20% instead of 15%, but anything more may be a little overpowering. It just depends on how much you like Root Beer :).

So with that in mind, 20% flavor and the remaining 80% would be your PG/VG/Nicotine. If you wanted to do a 10 ml test bottle, this is how you'd mix it. This is based on diluting a 36 mg / ml Nicotine (100% PG w/Nicotine) solution and a 65/35 PG/VG mix.

- 4.17 ml Nicotine Juice
- 0.33 ml PG
- 3.50 ml VG
- 2.00 ml Root Beer Flavor

Shake for 20-30 seconds with the cap on, allow it to steep for 24-36 hours to start, test vape and see how you like it. This will make a 10 ml bottle. It should turn bright yellow, but that can depend on your temperature and air settings. I leave mine in a dark cabinet dedicated to just juice.
