Rsbt working out the kinks

I'm new to rba's and such, but I have a kayfun clone and I'm running a .9 ohm coil in it, cotton wick and it is the best vapor I have ever tasted. I also have an rsbt hybrid with the same coil done up, came out to around .8 ohm. It's putting out vapor but it only makes me want to cough my brains out! It's not the juice as I've tried both 50/50 and high vg in both. Kayfun wins every time. I also know it's not getting choked as far as juice wicking is concerned. Even a high vg dry hit on the kayfun is easier to handle than these cough inducing hits I'm getting on the rsbt with any juice I use.

The reason I'm posting here is because I figure drippers can perhaps answer this question. Is too much juice going to provide a really harsh lung hit? Should I work on the wick to dampen juice flow a little bit?

Too much juice does not make me cough with lung hits or mouth hits. Too little can though.

I don't know the rsbt, but after Googling it I see it's similar to the Kayfun. You probably know this, but just in case, if you put too much wick into the juice channels it will run dry. It can be quite sensitive to small changes here.

Also, with my Kayfun if I go under around 0.8-0.9 ohms it gets harder to keep the coil wet so you might be right on the edge there too.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah it's not going dry because vaping vg a lot out of the kayfun it's a different and much less harsh experience. I can't get more than a couple of hits off this rsbt before I have to take it off the mech and set it down. I think it's just too hot of a vape. The kayfun coil is right above it's air hole getting direct air where as this coil is not sitting in it's chamber nearly as close. It's got to be something about that, else I give up. I had rebuilt the thing 3 times yesterday and still the same out come. Going to build it up to 1.5 ohms or so and see how that goes.

If anyone is interested.. Apparently From watching so many kayfun builds and the like, I had it in my head to use very little cotton. That method works excellent in my kayfun but the build deck is very different. I had used more on my first couple of builds and it was nice, just too high of ohm and not enough vapor and flavor. I went back and watched pauly meatballs video on this and he was using much more cotton than I was. I didn't stuff cotton like he did down the well of the deck, but I did use a significant more bit of cotton through the coil and has seemed so far to do the trick.

Getting this right has cost me almost a full 15ml bottle of delicious root beer float juice.. but I can vape this tank. The learning process. Tis expected.
