I have an evod, an aerotank, and an RSBT. I recently built the same coils for each of them. All the coils are 1/16th 2ohm 30 gauge kanthal, and wicked with japanese cotton. The evod and aero tank both have great flavor, but the RSBT has almost no flavor. Its wicking well, no dry hits or anything. There's plenty of vapor, but the flavor just isn't there. What can I tweak to increase the flavor?

Here's how I wick mine... wick.jpg

Wrapped around 3 x 2 mm strands of silica. Two trimmed close to coils and one long with tag ends through the channel and trimmed even with the O-Rings

RSST and RSBT are two different animals altogether. Not many people have heard of the RSBT I guess.

Personally, on the RSBT, I prefer a coil that is larger than 1/16. That's the only topper that I use which doesn't seem to perform as well with 1/16 coils. You might also want to try a different drip tip, one with a smaller bore if you're looking for flavor.

+1 on the larger diameter coils...mine generally run 1/8 to 3/16 depending.

One of mine I have coiled with 4 strands of 2 mm wrapped with 5 wraps of twisted 28 kanthal (.8 ohms)

On this one all four strands are clipped right at the edge of the threads and tucked inside to stack up vertically in the channel and then the chimney installed. None actually protrude through the hole but are visable if you look in.

Both this method and the one i posted above work great. Both coils ohm out at .8 and produce great flavor and vapor IMO.

As always, with any atomizer you will likely need to dial it in for your personal preferences. Airflow, coil diameter, driptip (H/T Danny)..they all come into play for sure.
