Ok noob question.... just bought this at a b&m and had them teach me how to build the coils. It is a clone (not sure what kind, and it puts my nautilus to shame) it is a dual coil setup, on an ipv2. .. heres the question. . When I lay it on its side the juice leaks out the air holes rediculously fast, like half the juice out the airholes in 5 minutes.... what is causing it? I disassembled the tank and checked the orings and they are all seated well and not leaking.... im guessing it is a wick issue? Like them not completely covering the juice channels? Maybe rewicking would help? Any help is appreciated

Yep, likely a wicking issue, more specifically not enough wick.

Sometimes on channel fed atties it can be a balancing act to get just the right amount to wick really well and not leak. Also keep in mind any time its sitting on it side and juice isn't covering the channels it can break the vacuum in the tank causing it to leak even more if there's not enough wick to prevent it. Once you figure it out, it should be easy enough to recreate consistently.

What wick material are you using?

I am using japanese cotton. Any ideas on how far down the channels to put the wicks? They are barely into the channels now. Ill take it apart when I get through this tank and rewick it. What can I say? I got to start rebuilding somewhere.

Yep, trial and error is probably your best bet unfortunately, just keep adding more/testing it, till you get a good balance of proper wicking/no leaking.

After wicking it 6 times I think I finally got it where its not leaking but not dry hitting. Good thing ive been stocking up on juice. It is a cloud machine. And you almost cant do a mouth to lung hit due to the massive airflow. . I think I might like it now... although yesterday I was ready to chuck it into the trash... it was either leaking or dry hitting. But I got some experience quick wicking. Lol

Now that you've figured out what works best you should be able to consistently recreate it, so it was time well spent!
