Yes the company is steam crave. The tank line is called the Aromamizer. As stated they have the 1, 2 and now supreme. I like the original in the small capacity version the best so far. The V2 I am warming up to. It is an RDTA, and if that's just marketing guff, so be it, I won't argue. I just happen to really like this unit. It fits my style perfectly.

Splitting hairs, I know, but there are actual dripping tanks. There is a storage tank above the coil that you "pump" to drip juice onto the coil as needed. Not that popular, but they can be found.
Sorry for the interruption and didn't mean to confuse the OP.

Ok, but that sounds a little weird, and most toppers advertising themselves as "RDTA"s have no way to drip on the coils, mechanically or otherwise.

@7sixtwo thanks! I'm vaping the Griffin now and the flavor is the best I've experienced so far from vaping 8 weeks. The crown which I was using before I thought was the best the Griffin blows it out of the water. I was hoping rdta would provide the flavor of a dripper without the hassle of having to drip every few puffs. You find rda's much better than RTA's?

Some RTA's deliver the same type of full flavor, but many don't.

I mainly like RDA's because I can change flavors frequently when using them at home, (and wicking them is as simple as it gets). For out and about, an RTA or sub-ohm tank that uses factory coils is much less hassle. I really like the Aromamizer V2, (with the 6ml tank).

The aromamizer line has a few options

You have

Aromamizer V1 (comes in small and regular juice capacity options) - reviews were pretty bad
Aromamizer V2 (comes also in 2 size juice capacity) - updated version of v1
Aromamizer Supreme (comes also in 2 size juice capacity 4 and 7ml) - this is the one I have.

To add to this, the original Aromamizer, (no reason to buy this now), and the V2, (improved V1 in every way), are ~23mm in diameter, while the Supreme is 25mm. This may or may not matter to you, @rcalvy1. I prefer the V2 to the Supreme because I can use it on my Pico, as well as my other mods. Also, the V2 is much less expensive than the Supreme.

Do a search on "the big dripper", that's one of many out, but they are out there. None of them worked that well, but they are out there.

I thought that it was going to be too much cotton but saw he was using SS316L wires and thought he was going to vape it under temp control (so you really can't get dry hits, theoretically). But then he started vaping it in power mode.

But if you look at the way he cuts his cutton its at an angle, so the tapered part is whats in the juice channels, so I guess that is enough for the cotton to wick well.

I believe the company is called Steam Crave and Aromamizer is just their line of RTAs/RDTAs
@rice721 youre awesome thanks for all your help and putting up with my ignorance.

It's RTA's, (R.ebuildable T.ank A.tomizers), vs RDA's, (R.ebuildable D.ripping A.tomizers). Each type has obvious advantages and disadvantages, so which is "better" will depend on subjective preferences. There are multiple inexpensive options on the market for each type, so imo one should own both.

"RDTA" is a marketing ploy; they're RTA's that the manufacturers are claiming deliver as much flavor as an RDA. While that may or may not be true, one can't drip with them, so adding that "D" to the acronym is inaccurate.
i can drip or tank on my SXK Corolla RDTA,, pop the cap and drip...any 'overflow' would go down the normal fill holes

@7sixtwo cool will definitely check them out! I've been vaping different flavors in the Griffin tank without rewicking no problem so far. Really enjoying it :) I think I might go with the V2 :)

I highly recommend the V2, ($26 at VapeNW). Most critics prefer it to the Griffin.

Ok. Thanks for the info.

I'd never heard of the SXK Corolla before, not that that means much. :D

ETA: thanks for adding the review vid. It's odd that the guy doesn't like to talk, but it's a very complete overview. That looks dead simple to build. Currently, I'm more into toppers that allow one to build dual, (which I prefer), or single coil, but I'll have to give the Corolla some consideration. :thumb:

the downfalls to this rdta,, it doesnt have the posts with holes for the wire,,you have to wrap around the post screws. you cannot build a huge coil,, if you have some decent coil skills you can get a duel coil in there.

i wanted a small tank / dripper and i wanted something i could test my diy flavors without a full tank commitment. i love this design,, i would buy another bigger one,, especially if the post design was improved.

i use rayon,, so the thin tails aid in tank filling through the wick holes....the juice hole is a joke and i call it the air hole.. i must have watched this video 20 times to make sure this is what i wanted over the Moonshot

If you're thinking about getting an aromamizer, check out the new smok 'rdta', it's basically the aromamizer supreme at half the price and probably better build quality...i have an aromamizer v1, it's not a very good tank, imo, flavor is good but it leaks and is ugly. The Big Dripper RDTA never really caught on, I have one of them, too, and I kind of like it but it's nowhere near the volume of vapor that today's attys deliver.

i really like it,, and am able to look past the coil build. it is designed for single as you know.

its a nice on the go rdta,, nothing hugely committed due to the tiny tank size of 2.5 (might as well say 2.0 cuz u gotta have AIR lol)..

some reviewers were mixed on air flow.. i am fine with it.. but if i had a problem with it, its easily fixed with a drill bit or even a round file. i would like to see them put out a 5 to 7ml tank and fix the screws and maybe a slightly bigger air flow option

hi guys just got the Griffin tank and loving it!! What's the best coil set up for the best flavor? Less wraps ? Bigger diameter? Right now I'm running a dual 7 wrap 24 gauge kanthal 3.5 mm diameter dual coil and producing great flavor! I was thinking of doing a 4 wrap dual coil? Also how does the avocado compare to the Griffin as far as taste goes? Should I just go to a rda ? I'm not crazy about not having a tank and having to re drip every 4-6 puffs. Any tips or advice would be great!!

I did RDAs for a while. Didn't Luke it for three reasons

1. Burning cotton
2. Dripping all the time
3the leaking when i overdripped.

I went RTAs and stayed there.

i did look at the smok tf,, the drip tip was deal breaker for me. i use my own drip on everything,,,

the big dripper,, i will have to look into that one thanks

i like tanks too,, but the rda allows for flavor sampling. this little SXK is like a monster size deck for me to build on next to the tiny topbox deck i was building on ...hahaha

Steam crave also made a 6 sided RDA called the Aromamiser toi
