I have seen mixed information online. Can you tell me the average life span of pg, vg and liquid nic. Stored in amber bottles in the dark.

Well there are a lot of experts and chemists on this forum that have stated their position on nicotine life. Unfortunately, our experience is not as optimistic.

1) The only way to have nicotine last a year plus and still be reasonably clear is to place it in a freezer at least minus 5 degrees F. We have samples of our first batch which is 17 months old and still good and only ever so slightly yellow.

2) Nicotine mixed in 100% VG does not last near as long as nicotine mixed in 100% PG. We do not know the reason why although we have our suspicions.

3) VG based nicotine kept at room temperature in a cool dark place has a noticeable yellowing in 6 weeks and a strong yellow at 3 months. Double the time frames stated for nicotine mixed in 100% PG.

In conclusion, if you freeze it has soon as you get it from us we believe you can obtain a 2 year life span.

We have everything moved into our new facility and about 50% of it set up. We will complete set up Saturday and Sunday.

1) Website will open in about one hour. You will be able to place orders.
2) We will begin shipping new orders Monday morning including 3 orders we screwed up with and missed from before the shut down
3) We will begin answering new CRM tickets Monday afternoon.

We have not been able to replenish our concentrated flavors due to the enormous ordering frenzy last week. We can keep up with nicotine production but not both flavors and nicotine at last weekend's pace.

If we find we can not keep up with the quantity of orders we will close our website until we catch up. This is better than pissing everyone off for long shipping delays.

Just from my experience, I bought 1000ml's, 48mg pg based nic from RTS in Dec. 2011, and immediately put it in 60 ml amber bottles, then in the freezer. So that's 14 months ago and it's still clear, no tint or odor. I figure I'll run out about June or July and all still should be good. So gonna have to re-up here pretty soon.

I have PG based nic from RTS in my freezer that I put in there in July of 2011 that is still as good as the day I put it there.

I actually have some from another vendor that has been in my freezer since January 2011 and it is still the same as it was when I put it there. It is thought that nicotine will last for many, many years in the freezer.

I read something at DOW Chemicals site that stated PG and VG both have a shelf life of about two years.

It stays liquid, but may thicken slightly. I fill my bottles right up to the top to leave as little room as possible for air.

I have to admit, that in the last year or so since I ordered the 1000ml's from RTS, I have looked around, followed some threads from other nic vendors to see what else was out there to try. I have been very happy with RTS nic, and how well it has stored. I see no reason to go anywhere else, kinda like, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I ordered from a different vendor due to rts website being down and had the money to spend and not knowing about this thread or when website will be back up, but i will try rts nic juice next time i need to order. rts has everything i wanted and when my funds became available the site wasnt. i plan on trying most of the nic from various vendors to see which i like best but for bulk buys rts in case big brother has anything to do with it.

There are a few good venders out there but in my experience rts has the highest quality pg/VG nic in the business. His nic stays clear longer than anyone else's after exposure to air/mixed in juice. Take from a guy that mixes up juice in 4 gallon batches.
