Since I rebottle for freezer storage, I expect even clear would be fine for me, though the cobalts are very nice :) The key point for me is to make sure the bottles are well filled, minimum air. My working nic is kept in a small storage unit in the basement -- cool, minimum light.

Yep, if there is not going to be much exposure to light, there really is no need for colored glass.

I know that originally Kurt posted the less air space, the better. Recently I saw him say somewhere in the DIY forum that a little air space is actually better. I am sure that either way works though. :)

ETA- I have also seen people use clear glass jars and put a sock over them to block light lol

I freeze things in glass jars often. I use the sock to help protect from breakage also :)

Thats a great idea, Cags! How many of us have old worn out socks that we just refuse to throw away lol I think that I will use the socks on mine too. Takes up less space and will give great protection.

Anyone who loves their Cags as much as I do mine, has got to be smart

I bubble wrap individual 120ml bottles then put those in a big freezer bag marked POISON all over it.
THen I put it in a medium flat rate box with warnings and labels of what is inside.
Stuff in back of freezer4.

You don't think that the cardboard will insulate against the cold? Seems as if it might and we want it as cold as we can get it.

No problem, dmall. I actually mix at a % of 65/30/5 PG/VG/DW The distilled water brings the boiling point of the PG and VG down and the juice will not burn as easily in your carto/atty :)

I am about to mix some joose and will try this. It would be great to not ever get a burnt taste!

I have always washed mine and after drying I will rinse them with a little PGA.

I go overboard in putting mine in the chest freezer, I place the 120ml bottles inside a 6" piece of 2" pvc pipe with a wadded up paper towel on each end then force on a 2" pvc cap on each end. Then I label the pipe with a large Sharpie, "Danger", strength, volume & date of manufacture, and place them in the bottom of the freezer so that my wife will not be tossing them around when she is digging thru it.

I'm about to freeze my first order of nic.:)
Do the 120ml blue bottles need any prep first? Should I wash them? Boil them? Or are they ready to go as they are when they arrive in the mail?

Also, I saw this video on how to get that last bit of air out of a freezer bag. I thought I'd try it.

I keep my bottled nic in freezer bags in the freezer too. That way if there is a mishap, the liquid will be contained.

I rinse my brand new bottles in hot tap water. Let them dry and then sanitize with a PGA rinse. Let air dry, and use. No need to wash with soap and chance residue being left behind IMO Trust me after the PGA rinse, they will be sterile :D
