rubber stopper question?

Hi in one of my cartomizers I found a very small rubber stopper .. do I use that rubber stopper only when filling up a cartomizer with e-liquid? I tried smoking with the rubber stopper in the battery but it would not pull so I'm guessing it is not meant to be in the e-cig ? Thanks

The filler material keeps it from doing that as long as you don't over fill it.

edit: peolpes mileage varies but at least 3-5 times should be ok

Correct, there should be nothing between the carto and the battery.
Unless you over fill the carto, you need not worry about fluid leaking into the battery.
If you are using a manual battery, they are sealed and cartos will not leak into the battery. If you are using an auto battery, you do need to be careful not to overfill your cartos because they will leak into an unsealed auto battery and destroy it.

As far as my experience goes (one month) I have never let a carto go completely dry....topping off periodically, and all of mine are still going strong.....

If you ever take a carto apart, you will see why it doesn't leak into the battery. If you overfill/over saturate the filling material, it will go down the center hole and then into the battery.
