Is there a general rule to follow when adding PGA or water to a VG mix.

For example... I have 60mg unflavored PG nic juice and I'm cutting it with VG to get 24mg final nic content. Is this something you should just eyeball or is there some kind of percentage VG to PGA that makes a better mix?

I guess what I'm asking more specifically is... Has anyone noticed a percentage of VG that if you go over to should add PGA or water to thin it out?

I typically go with 20% to the VG. So the flavoring and PGA combined = 20% of the total VG added.

So if you are using 10% flavoring Then you should add 20% water/Vodka or PGA based on the amount of VG you use.

The easiest way to check is the drip test. Drop two drop side by side on a mirror, you mix and a premix from a vendor. Now tilt the mirro at a 45 degree angle, if your mix runs faster then there is to much watter/alcohol in it. If it is to slow then there is not enough. If they run at the same speed it is mixed perfectly.
I hope this makes sense.

I usually make my mixes similar to Dan. Most of my base nic liquid is 36mg PG. If I am making my usual mix I use 50% base nic 36mg, Add 30% VG and 20% PGA & flavoring. This produces a good high voltage liquid. A lot depends on the flavoring used but I normally end up with using at least 10% Everclear 190 proof PGA. For lower voltage I will lower the VG and raise the PGA.
