Rules clarification

Maybe some of the members here could help me with the rules on posting here. I recently had a thread deleted because as I was told it was unfair to vendors who pay for their spot here on the forum for me to be able to advertize for free. My thread was a request for someone with complementing skills to mine to work together on a mod. There is/was no product and no company, no mention of anything for sale. So I am really confused as this seems to really stiffle new people from working their way up to being a supplier/vendor.

On asking the moderator who dleted my thread for clarification on how I could word this or to point me to the rules regarding this along with who I should contact if I wanted to become a vendor I only recieved a link to the contact to become a vendor in the reply so I thought maybe some of the other members here could help explain how it works around here.

Interesting...since I can not see the exact details of your post, it is difficult to say for sure what happend! I does not sound like their should have been any issues, but maybe a moderator can provide input. I personally love the idea of sharing ideas for a new mod and can not see how this would be an issue.

Temecula, I did a water line in Elsinore about ten years ago.

I had listed my skills and weaknesses looking for someone who could compliment them in order to pair up to make a mod. No product description and no name of a company though I did mention I have a clever 5 letter domain name (did not mention what it was) available.

Anyhow as I study more I have come to the conclusion I probably should just learn what I need to know and do the whole thing myself but it still kind of bothers me that I dont understand what I said in my post to get it deleted.

Possibly it was implied or inferred that you were looking to start selling mods. The Modding forum is basically here for people to post about mods they have made for personal use or to ask questions about a mod build for personal use. Any mention of selling mods is prohibited.
