I am a huge fan of the Perfumer's Apprentice flavourings too, I'm really glad Rachel turned me on to those. But rather than the 3ml bottles, I would say to go with the 1 ounce bottles. I know they even say on the site that you should buy a small tester bottle to see if you like the flavour, but I have found that even flavours I initially hated have found a place in my DIY regiment. For example, I initially hated the Raspberry flavoring, I found it way too perfumey. I tried it in a lot of mixes, and it was never appealing to me. However, I recently mixed it with some grape juice flavoring along with a few drops of Evaper's Watermelon I ordered a while back but found to have too strong a candy taste, and the Evapers watermelon flavour perfectly complimented the Raspberry. I'm really glad I have it in my toolbox of flavours now, even though I detested it before.
You get so much more in the 1 ounce bottles than you do in the 3ml bottles, I think it's totally worth it to spend a few bucks extra to get enough to last you for a year rather than enough to make only a few batches. If I had only gotten a tiny bottle of the Raspberry, I wouldn't have been able to do enough testing to find this new berry watermelon vape which I really enjoy.
Anyways, just my two cents.
