I just got a Russian 91% in the mail today... my previous setup was an iTaste MVP v2.0 with a Tobeco kayfun clone. The reason I got the Russian was because the airflow screw is on the side instead of the bottom, and because the contact pin on my Tobeco kayfun is loose & I'm constantly having to adjust it (lest the resistance get all messed up... either the current finds a shorter path by bypassing the coil if the screw is too loose, or the ohms go way too high and too little current gets through if the screw is too tight).
Anyway, the Russian seems to be even worse. Maybe it's just my iTaste being finicky, but I can't even use the damn thing on variable watts because the very act of holding the fire button seems to change the resistance. Every time I check the ohms it varies wildly from like 5.8 right down to 0.0 ohms. I can't get it to sit still where I want it (about 2.4 ohms). The resistance changes if I screw the 510 threads in or out even THE TINIEST bit. It's as if just bumping it would mess with the resistance. I can use it in variable volts but the vapor quality is poor due to it being like 5.6 ohms whenever I do that...if I screw the atty in any further on the 510 threads it goes below 1.2 which prevents regulated mods from firing
I've tried adjusting the screw in both directions, to no avail. Am I gonna need to just get a new mod if I wanna use this Russian?
Thanks
P.S. I don't do the sub-ohms stuff nor am I much of a cloud chaser, just a tobacco-avoider. That's the main reason I'm not really into mech mods, I like regulated mods. But I feel like the 510 threads on the iTaste are too sensitive for the Russian or something...
