Guys, need some help here... i have R91% with microcoil and cotton build .. sometimes when vaping i will taste burn.. the cotton still intact when i checked. it seems like when i vape the vacuum for juice didnt go up properly.
so i need to close airhole and suck the air for 1-2 seconds than it back to normal ..

i suspect because of the vacuum inside the R91 .. is there any solution on this? is it because i build it wrong ..
help guys .. im totally lost .. icon_question.gif

1. Check to see if all of your o-rings are in place and in good shape. Be especially mindful of the o-ring that interfaces between the top cap and the top of the chimney... that is a small one and easy to lose.

2. Check the height of your coil above the airhole. I run mine 2mm above and that seems to work best for me.

3. Check your wicking and be sure that the wick does not obscure the juice channels. I press my wick up against the walls of the center island just to be sure I'm clearing the juice channels.

4. Check for external leaks by doing this: block your air intake hole and suck on the drip tip. You should get no hissing or gurgling, and you should get the feeling of "hard vacuum" in your mouth (if that makes sense).

5. If none of this works, try building your next coil on a 5/64" mandrel (so this would technically be a contact mini-coil, not a microcoil). This will allow more wick material and possibly better wicking into your coil. Experiment with the amount of cotton that you put into your wick... there is an amount that is "just right", and too much or too little wick can cause dry hits or flooding.

csantiago1911 thx for the previous advice .. i already tested my R91 by several chain vape and no dry hits at all .. i think its either because of the o-ring at the top cap not properly sit or because my cotton is blocking the juice channel .. im using more lesser cotton and push it at the chimney wall also .. now it seems to be ok .. :)
