Russian 91% storage position

Hi guys, sorry if this question has been asked before but I did some googling and couldn't find much.

I recently got myself a russian and today I left it sitting on it's side the entire day. Next thing I know, my juice was all over the place. I've since installed an o ring onto the screw at the bottom fill port but I'm not sure if the leak is due to that part. Any advice on how I should store this guy?

If it is FULL it should not matter. These are Vacuum functioning tanks.
If it is low, laying it on the side can expose one wicking channel to air rather than liquid. The pressure difference will allow fluid to flow out and siphon air in.
When it doubt, keep upright.
