I'm curious about this too, and your answer doesn't seem to explain why you do it. You have a metal t-tip, so no plastic there, so why don't you just drip in the hole in the t-tip with the t-tip installed?

I used to but I think some juice gets stuck in there.
maybe I don't have the technique down.

Its not a big deal. I'm just sitting vaping.

Hawaii! Yay haha
I drip direct to the coil (no bridge) and I'm finding that the drops ride down the T-Tip, then spread out on the bottom of the tip, and doesn't get to the coil. I've tried tapping the e-cig to move the drop, also blowing into the hole before vaping, and it doesn't work most of the time. So I take off my T-Tips when I drip. I'm used to it, but I often think about what it would be like to bore out the whole inside of the T-Tip and just have a big open hole, no funnel. This isn't going to stop me from using my surgical-grade stainless steel T-Tips, though :D

I'm glad I'm not alone on this. :)

I still love the tips. (no burning plastic)

Btw the "rust" or whatever is was was scraped off and it still hasn't came back so far.

I have to say, I love my super t ttip. Stainless is my fav.

I agree! I had a black Joye 510 kit, and the stainless steel tip made the rest of my e-cig look like a cheap toy. I ordered steel batteries and atomizers to match the tips, and now it looks very classy!

By the way, about the rust, do you often have juice on the top part of the funnel, when you look into the tip? I was just thinking that if there's liquid there after you vape (sometimes I find there's juice there, even though I take off the tip to drip - moisture builds on the bottom of the tip from vaping a lot, then if I suck hard I must draw some of that liquid up the tip towards my mouth) then that might be the cause of the rust.

After reading your initial post, I have a habit of wiping my tip throughout the day, thinking I might get rust eventually :)

I have the same habit. I wipe the t-tip with my t-shirt.

when you clean the t-tip, take a q-tip and scrub it inside and out good.
You can even get agressive with it.

do that and maybe some polish, I think you'll be fine.
