TFA Double RY4 at 10% and 30 days aging has been a staple for years.
I mix a liter at a time.
I didn't care for the regular RY4 nor the Asian version (tasted of maple, IMO)
I have sourced the concentrate directly from TFA and through various resellers and have never noticed a difference.

TFA has three RY4's that they offer:
RY4 (type, type 1)
RY4 Double
RY4 Asian

All are different. Make sure the one you are selecting the one you want.

RY4 Double is their most popular. To my palate, it is a sweet caramel(ly), vanilla(y), profile. I never got much (if any) "tobacco" out of it.
RY4 Asian is still sweet, but not quite as sweet to me. It also has what I identified as a light grassy note. It does have a minor note of tobacco that I can detect.
RY4 is one I haven't tried, so I can't offer an opinion.

As always; YMMV. :)

Just wondering if anyone has tried this. Putting together an order and have it in my cart. Appreciate hearing your thoughts on it. Thanks.
If you buy it, I don't think you will be sorry.
I have tried/bought the TFA RY4 Double. I found I needed a recipe to bring this flavor out. I've have had good luck with several recipes like Tribeca (my version):
TFA RY4 Double
TFA Graham Cracker
TFA Acetyl Pyrazine
TFA Caramel
TFA Brown Sugar
0mg 30/70 Rating:8.0/10 No idea what Tribeca is suppose to taste like but I'm getting what I believe, is a true caramel taste. My idea of caramel should taste like, is very present and delightfully strong. My only possible improvement would be adding a touch more natural sweetness to the taste. 4 week steep min.

General standalone single notes:
TFA RY4 (Double)
#12E-- Taste to tongue: Sweet good
Color: almost none. (thought I forgot to added the RY4 when mixing)
Vape First impression: Sharp, crisp. Second and more puffs: Toasty tobacco taste. At 5%, this might be too strong,
could be vaped at as little as 3% or lower. Good tasting but not really distinctive enough for me Blah. This flavor is one to use as a base to be mixed with. Not a standalone.
"ry4 double and acetyl pyrazine go well together if your looking for an RY4 with a nutty note but again ry4d is very sweet and lacks tobacco taste. It's in fact one of the sweetest ry4's Ive tasted. RY4 will need 4 weeks steep time." Favorite tobacco flavoring discussion - Tobacco flavoring discussion only
Rating: 6.5/10 -- (fair)
Added #3B and ok.Tricky to get right.

75%-80% VG. 10mg/ml nicotine.
My wife uses it (neat) in a Tron tank with a small .75Ω-1.1Ω coil at 11-13 watts.

I cut it by 50% with 80/20 to 5% flavour and 5mg/ml nicotine and use it between 18-25 watts in my ~.5-.8Ω coiled MTL squonker or ~16 watts in my .5Ω loose MTL RTA.

Right so higher VG explains the higher % :)

These were also my impressions, until one day I put it in a proper mtl tank, and it really brought out the tobacco notes. :D YMMV.

I use RY4 Double. I don't really like it too strong though, and have to mix it with other sweet stuff to my taste. I posted my favorite tobacco recipe here using TPA RY4 Double (though it is NOT my recipe, I don't know who came up with it). I saved it as "Vanilla Tribeca":

    I wholly respect that.:D

For me; I think it likely has as much to do with the better part of five decades of severe palate abuse.
I would be the last person to claim to have "average" taste buds.
