I just got my new PV in the mail today (kGo from Hoosier) and its awesome. I love this thing so far! It blows my mall vendor piece of trash out of the water and I couldn't be happier. One thing I had been reading all over the place is how a lot of people seem to like RY4 so I ordered some to give it a shot. I got it from myfreedomsmokes, if that makes any difference. I read that it has a bit of a sweeter side to it but what I'm getting is... something to the contrary. It has a very raw tobacco flavor with a bitter "warm" finish. I'm not gonna say its bad, but it's nothing like the descriptions people have given to RY4. The only reason I am curious about this is because so many people give the same general description, I was wondering if "RY4" is a standard recipe that tastes the same from different vendors? Or does the flavor vary greatly, depending on where you got it from.

Any RY4 lovers out there care to comment (and maybe even want a 20ml bottle of the stuff)?

I guess it just caught me off guard. It's definitely not something I could vape for any prolonged period of time. I would call it a Mood-vape flavor; not bad by any means, but a very particular taste to it.

It would seem every vendor has their own variation of RY4... I've never bothered trying it for that reason, but I'm not really into tobacco flavors either.

All of the tobacco flavors I have tried seem to benefit from a little extra time to "steep" though. Put it away for a week or two and try it again. You might like it more. If it still doesn't do anything for you head over to the PIF section of the forum. I'm sure their are plenty of people who would be happy to take it off your hands. ;)

I will try tucking it away somewhere for a little while and coming back to it. I would hate to have wasted the money on it, but ya cant like everything I guess.

EDIT: I'll definitely consider trying out smaller bottles from different vendors. It could possibly be my smoker's palette messing with my sense of flavor, too. o_O

I disagree, if you really want an original old Dekang RY4, the closest I have had from the original recipe that has vanished then I would strongly recommend Issac's from Ikenvape. This is the closest I have tasted to the original that we use to get a couple years back from Dekang Issacs is very good. A second one I would recommend if your looking for one a bit sweeter is Vaperite VR4 this is another good one, not like the original Dekang or Issacs but a very good one and with some great flavor to it

I have tried many different RY4s. I tend to like the sweet ones. So with that in mind some of my favorites are Dekang, Riskee Yuice, Gingers RY4, and my all time fav is Vixen Vapers. VV has a mild taste with a very clean after taste, I vape this all day long. There are many other RY4 suppliers that I'm going to try, the list goes on and on. I have heard very good things about Ikanvape's RY4. Good luck.

BackWoodsBrew (.net) has a wildly popular RY4. So much so, he'll only let you order one bottle, LOL. If you're not on the wait list and jump as soon as you get the email you'll be waiting again. It meets the hype for me. Consider the source. I don't have your taste buds :) Good luck on your search.

I went to the PIF forum and read up on all the rules and looked through a lot of threads to get an idea of how it works. Unfortunately, the current PIF is for a bunch of tobacco flavors, which is what I've got and found displeasing to my taste-parts. My common sense told me "hey, I've been a heavy smoker for many years, and there isn't a cigarette I didn't enjoy". I was in the Infantry for a while, which means tons of smokers, and tons of people bumming smokes off each other.

Well that turned out to be the contrary, and of the... 124.5ml of flavors I've got sitting on the shelf (5 20ml bottles, 2 10ml bottles and 1 4.5ml bottle) the only one I can stand is the smallest bottle. I know exactly where my next purchase is is coming from, and that is the "Kentucky" Blends from Vermillion River.

In the meantime while the RY4 steeps, I'll have to vape the Butter Rum mixed with Maple Cream, because that's all I've got in the pile that doesn't make me want an analog .

As most e liquid reviewers say, taste is subjective.
Ie. Every reiew of halo's cool mist juice i've read or seen so far have been nothing short of positive. So I bought a big 30ml bottle of their cool mist thinking it was going to be my daily vape. Wrong, at first taste I just asnt feeling it. I thought maybe it needed time to steep so I picked up a 3 week old bottle someone was selling and again, same conclusion. Now I have about 40 ml of the stuff collecting dust in my night stand
Probably not going to sell it though knowing that tastes change, Who knows I might give it a try tomorrow and it might taste like mana from heaven

I'm not a fan. I think their base has a medicinal taste. Sort of like licking a pill bottle.

I feel ya. Six months and well over 200 juices later, I have five that I vape. Juice reviews are worthless for me. They almost NEVER taste like the video or post review. I started watching the classifieds to see what juices sold quickly. I'd go to that supplier and order. There are a few that will be gone in 5 minutes in the classifieds. I'd read the 'closed threads' classified section also. I follow the veteran's posts that have been vaping for a year or two and buy what they vape. I've made a few mistakes with that and learned I hate cigar-tasting juice. These methods created far more successful results than chasing sales and getting a bunch of skunk juice from reviews. It's a laborious process but oh-so worth it. Hope you find your perfect juices quickly.
