Not having a good day with my vaping. Blew through two i7 atties on my GGTS and decided to go down to 5 volts for a bit on the ST.

Something weird happening with my ST. I'll get three really good hits, then little whispy vapor until I leave it sit for a good 5 minutes, then it's back to normal for three hits, then whispy vapor again unless I leave it rest for a minute or two. Seems weird. I've tested both batteries on the multimeter, tried different 510 atties all reading 2.1-2.2 ohms and even tried different juices from pg to pg/vg blend to straight vg and the same results. Tried blowing out the atty and re-dripping. Tried adding less drops. Tried adding more drops. Blew it out and started fresh....... I don't know what's happening. Batteries are in good form and getting 4.98 volts at the 510 connection unloaded.

It seems like after the 3 good hits, there isn't enough voltage going to the atomizer and it acts like I'm vaping at 3.1 volts and not 5 volts anymore until everything gets back to room temperature.

Any ideas?

Problem sorted out.

Tried a 510 -> 901 adapter with a 3.0 ohm 901 atty. Results were very consistent 5 volt hits even after the 3-4 good drags. Power didn't fade and all was good. Vaped until atty got slight "burnt" taste and performance never once dropped off.

Tried 3 different Joye 510 atties all measuring 2.1 - 2.2 ohms. Results were inconsistent as before. About 4 good drags, then vapor slowly diminished to where I could hardly get anything after about 8 drags. This was even after re-dripping and ensuring not flooded etc etc.

Bottom line is, the 510 connection in the ST really likes the 510->901 adapter and doesn't "mate" well with Joye 510 atties.

Sir Lawrence has been notified and he will be getting in touch with his 510 connection supplier/producer to develop a fix for this issue as I'm not the only ST user to experience performance drop after approx. 4 good drags.

I guess my ST will be relegated to 901 use from now on as I cannot use any 510 without suffering from performance consistency issues.

Quick update.

Been using the 901 atty with the 510 -> 901 adapter and it's great!! No problems whatsoever.

I apologize if I created fear and second guesses with my "problem" and came to the realization that not all 510 atties are created equal. I hope I helped a few diagnose any problems they may have had similar to mine.

This 5 volt ST with a 901 is a vaping nuclear power station!!! :vapor::vapor::vapor::vapor::vapor::vapor::vapor::vapor::vapor::vapor:

No need for magnets either.

I just got my ST today and have noticed the same thing. When it does this, the atty is HOT. I'm wondering if the normal 2.7v atty isn't just getting too hot and cutting out the circuit.

Got my 5V Saber Touch today...
My 510 Attys from Vapor Kings and Madvapes work well. Additionally, my 510 cartomizers work well also...
I ALSO tried my 901 attys and they worked well...

Used it for a couple hours... mostly with my 510 attys.

Gotta say, I am blown away with this device. 5V is great. I don't think I could have handled 6V.

The craftsmanship of this device is beautiful... It is even better than I expected.

I'm on day 3 with my Saber Touch - the 5v Matte Black finish. What an amazing e-cig!!

The first day was spent getting used to the switch. I'm so used to pushing a button to activate an atty. I had to keep reminding myself not to push down on the switch.

After getting the switch thingy down, my son and I invented a new game -

:D:DThe Saber Touch Twister:D:D

The object of this game is to see how many different ways you can activate the switch to vape. (Yes, I am a horrible role model.:p)

I had my son hold the bottom of the saber, my pinky touching his hand and my forefinger on the switch. VAPE! WOOT! WOOT!

Then it was :

Toe to finger to switch, vape!
Arm, finger, switch, vape!
Knee to switch, vape!
Dog to finger to switch, vape!

What activates the switch is moisture. So...........moist q-tip to switch, vape!!! Moistened paper towel, moist paper towel around a chop stick, moist toilet paper tube, vape!

The 2nd day was trying out different atty configurations. I've only used a 510 one time, and that was with a disposable I purchased when I first started vapping. Other than that, it's been a 901 and a generic Stick.

With a 510 atty, lots of cool vapor, great flavor. The 510 atty doesn't get as hot as the other atty's I've tried.

Next, a 901 with 510 adapter. Lots of warm vapor, great flavor. If I vape more than 3x in a row, or take a long inhale, the atty gets extremely hot as does the vapor.

The last was with a 510 carto. OMG!!! This is awesome!! The flavor of the juices are incredible. I vaped through my juices and had to make more. I vaped until the carto was burning hot - actually blowing on the carto to cool it down so I could vape some more.

Today I spent experimenting different flavors with different attys on the Saber Touch. Will post later how it went.

I am having so much fun!

It's been a long time comin' baby... and I am OFFICALLY IN BUSINESS with my Saber! I know there have been people just as anxious as I to hear what I had to say, and HERE IT IS!!!:

Alittle bit of background on the whole situation first. I won my Saber in Sir_Lawrence's AWESOME contest. (*Takes a bow*, thank you thank you :D)
I got my Saber just a few short days later, which just goes to show the awesome customer service. I received my batteries the same day. After charging the batteries and trying the Saber out, it was a no go. Was getting nothing. After alot of troubleshooting and a few phone calls to the Sir (which also shows excellent customer service), we just couldn't figure it out. So I shipped mine back, and got the new one just another few short days later. Tried it out again, and still nothing. Well then, there ya have it. I had a bad battery(s) and/or charger. (Note: Sir got back the first Saber I had sent, and it was in perfect working order, so it was my own stupid fault there). So a VERY generous soul sent me some new batteries and charger, which I just received today. I put the batteries on the charger and they were green right away so I thought "Awesome! They're already charged!".. well, they weren't lol. I put them back on the charger and waited the LONGEST 4 hours EVER. Once the batteries were finally green and good to go, I gave Sir a ring. He got to hear the very first vape off this awesome vaping monster, and I'm embarrassed to say I CHOKED lol. I used just a regular 510 atomizer to start with since I'm familiar with it.
Note: until now, the only PVs Ive ever used have been the standard 510 and the Tornado.
I dripped a few drops of Atomic Cinnicide (PROBABLY not the best idea, lmao) on the atty and took that first sweet 5v monsterous vape, and it was AMAZING. The flavor, throat hit and vapor production on this thing is REDICULOUS. The sensor touch is the coolest thing I've ever seen. Now, I have the 5v black finish, so with the black finish you HAVE to make contact with some part of your hand with one of the brass end caps (top or bottom, doesn't matter) to make a complete connection. Sir inclues a large piece of paper with the Saber with these instructions, making it almost fool proof. He also puts little stickers inside the mod where the batteries go that indicate which way you need to insert the batteries, and also a sticker that shows which model it is (Which is a very good idea if you have two different models of the same color, so you don't mix them up and have to play the guessing game).
The look, size, comfort, and performance of this thing gets an A++++ from me. I couldn't be happier, and am so blessed and greatful for being able to expierence this. My poor Tornado will be going on the backburner, as it is now just a baby toy compared to my new, big bad dad PV :D
Whether you're a first timer when it comes to mods, looking for the safest, most elegant and best performing model, or an expierenced mod owner looking for your new pride and joy, this mod is for you.
Sir has put a ton of work, time, and pride into these mods, and wants every customer of his to have a perfect vaping expierence. I can honestly say he has done this for me. He went above AND beyond the call of duty to get this thing to me, and making sure everything was well. I am forever greatful for that :) Thank you Sir!!
Now if you'll excuse me, I have some bada$$ 5v vaping to do :D

First review. I should say "UNQUALIFIED" review as I am a long time consumer, short time Esmoker (3 wks).

My qualifications are as follows. I have read and viewed as many other reviews as I possibly could in the last three weeks. I own a DSE 901 pro that has served well as a starter. No analogs (well one cig and one puff) since receipt of my 901 04/29/10.

I ordered the Sabre Touch 3.7/6.0 black satin. While awaiting arrival I ordered a 510 to 901/808D adapter. Some 808D carto's some 901 lr atty's and empty carts. Also two 18650 3000 mAh rc batt and charger.

I think I ordered sat and my order was in the mail on Monday morning first thing. There was a hitch in my giddyup due to the adapter. Sir Lawrence made short work of correcting the problem even when it was not a problem with his mod. Thanks.

The Touch Saber works like a champ. I simply lay my finger across the switch and I am vaping all day. I switched to carto's when I got the mod looking for a all day no fuss solution to my vaping needs and got all of that. Have not had a battery that needed changing yet ( just put a fresh one in once a day) Suckin juice like a rat eating cheese. The Saber rarely leaves my hand and looks like it belongs. Fit and finish are flawless (the black satin finish yearns to be caressed). I would compare it to a finely crafted timepiece.

This has been one of the most pleasant purchasing experiences I have ever had on the internet. In addition to now owning a great mod. I feel that I am part of a community of owners who chat and play almost daily. And Customer Support. Well Sir Lawrence is Sir Lawrence. For some reason I think he tucks these things in at night and reads to them. There is never any doubt of the well placed pride he takes in his work.

Just a great experience all the way around.

Sadly, I just couldn't get over the girth and weight of both my Saber Touches and have sold/traded both on the classifieds at really good prices to some really good people. These PV's were very nice and worked great once I solved my 510 connection issues. I'm kinda sad to see them go and hope their new owners enjoy them as much as I did. I just really had an issue with the size/girth and couldn't get comfortable using them. I made sure I included the 510->901 adapter with each unit so the new owners don't encounter the same issues I had to solve initially.
