Hello everyone this is SadLittlePony. I have been vaping for about 6 months now and explored a small variety of ecigs. Currently I own the Blu ecig Starter kit but I am looking to move onto using mods. I found that I love the coffee flavored ones. Well anyways hope to get to know you all and learn great tips!

Welcome to the ECF Pony. Glad to see you're still strong at 6 months. Only lasted 2 weeks into vaping before I picked up my first mod. Guess it depends on whether you want the box mods, bottom feeding etc or a tube mode like the Lavatube, Buzz, Bolt, Provari etc. I picked up the Apollo Vtube (Lavatube) with a 6ml tank and I enjoy it. Does everything I need to do. I'm sure you'll get a lot of responses saying look at Provari and they won't be wrong. They're just pretty expensive and does about the same as the cheaper tube modes. They are higher quality, few little extra options but if you're looking to start out with a simpler mod, I'd say check out the Apollo Vtube.

It should do everything you need, dripping, cartos, clearos, tanks etc. It's variable voltage from 3-6v and they're pretty cheap, maybe 70-80 bucks for a full kit. But if you want to save money in the long run and think you may get a provari, just go that route but up to you. I thought I upgrade to a provari after my first mod but honestly, I don't see the point with what I have currently.

I have a Vtube from Apollo. I like it pretty well, but I wouldn't buy another from them until they start selling the newer, much improved versions. You can go to Vaporbeast and get the newest version for less than $70, which is what I paid for my Vtube. The new ones have a 4amp limit, up from 2.5A. They have a one-touch resistance readout and graphic battery display. Also an upgraded OLED screen and improved, metal endcaps. Most importantly, they fixed the switch problems and changed the electronics so that now it really does hold the voltage through the life of the battery, something it was supposed to do, but didn't, since the first version.

Haha well I had this Blu for 2 days and I am burning through my 3rd Cartomizer at the moment. I love the buzz I get from it and I want something that can burn hotter and last a lot longer. I can then make concoctions of my own flavors.

Well, that would be just about anything. Looks like a mod is in your future for sure.

This is the one I was looking at other than the Lavatube.

Fine unit, the Provari. I like that tank too.
You can get the Provari from the manufacturer, Provape.com. No need to deal with an Italian company.
Just promise us you won't turn into one of those obnoxious Provangelists. :)

I think that tank costs as much as a Lavatube though, LOL.

Yea, I agree with the above posts about the Lavatube. I have had one now for a few months, it is my first dive in to something other than a standard "e-cig." I do like it a lot. But I agree, make sure it is a version 2 or whatever with the metal caps and new switch. Just a tip, a good single coil 3.0ohms Boge carto on a Lavatube is a dream. I did the tanks and didn't really care for them. They look cool but I like to change flavors a lot! And that is a hassle with tanks unless you own a ton of them. But that's just my opinion. As far as the Provari, I wish I would had went that route now. Nothing wrong with the Lava once I learned what it needed to work right (I have version 1). But I am hooked on variable voltage now and wish I had a bit more quality. But, with the new Lava's being better, it makes even more sense to try one out and make sure you like a bigger mod before spending the bucks on the Provari. And believe me, it will not be the last mod you buy anyway! Haha! There's just too many cool ones out there to resist! Lol. But it sounds like you are looking to the best choices right now for what you want and need. Good luck!

O.k., just came back from that Italian website. The MC tank is about 26 Euro. Probably about $36 or so? God knows what shipping from Italy would cost. They're out of stock in Italy, at least on Mondosvapo. Dont know if/where you can find the in the U.S.

But Sad, if you're looking for the Provari it's attached to, they're right here.
Seriously, though, if you're looking for a first VV, the new Lavatube can't be beat at $70 shipped for the full kit. The equivalent Provari kit will run you $200+
