Safe e-juice flavorings DIY

I am just starting to dabble at making my own e-juice. I am not looking to get into too big of a debate if flavors in of themselves are safe at all, but looking for feedback on what we think are the safe ones and the types to avoid. I have purchased some flavorless nic (60mg VG base) from RTS. I have also purchased some PG from RTS as well as some VG (glycerin) from CVS. I have mixed up some 50/50 12 mg juice it is nice and clear and it vapes just fine. I also purchased some flavorings from RTS. They are TFA flavors. Maraschino Cherry (PG base) and Toasted Almond (PG Base). I mixed up a batch of the Maraschino Cherry. 12mg 80%VG and 20%PG 10% of the PG is the flavoring and the result is a cloudy juice. First of all I am not sure why the result is cloudy. It has been three days and it still is cloudy compared toe the non flavored batch I made. The flavoring in the bottle RTS shipped is clear (slight yellow tint) and all the bases are perfectly clear. Why are they cloudy when they are mixed together. So I started searching for answers and started finding all types of discussions on what is safe and not safe etc etc. Does anybody have a reference on what to avoid and what seem to be alright to use. I am not trying to make thousands of different flavors just looking for some safe bets. I heard things about avoiding oils, but aren't many of the natural flavors from oils? Very confused. Somebody should right a book.

Flavors with diacytal aren't that great for your lungs if you vape them exclusively all day for years. Stuff like that? Dark flavors gunk up Atties. If your new find companies that sell flavors for DIY e cig to avoid worries about oils. Oil is ok basically but it will depend on percentage used so I think the flavor brands out there for vaping take that in to account? Maybe? Probably. Vaping a little ethyl alcohol isn't bad but some people seem to hate any alcohol in their flavors. Then some people add it to get throat hit. And my only reference is ecf posts. I take some and leave some. Don't know about cloudy. I've seen sediment but it melts back in at hotter temperatures. I think cloudy must be finer sediment. Som book is probably on Amazon but just because somebody compiled in do and did a book won't make it tight. So far ecf has the info, and it's about half and half imnguessung what's right or wrong
