I have read so many reviews and threads on this that my head is spinning. I started with Dark City Vapor juice only because I ordered my KGO from them. Turns out they won't tell me the ingredients and who knows where they're from. I moved to Virgin Vapor juices, but I'm not impressed with any of the sample pack flavors. Then I read about how there are certain ingredients that shouldn't be in the juice (diacetyl) and everything should be from the USA. I read that the vendor should list all ingredients and the pg/vg ratio. I looked into Halo and really want to try their juice, but they won't tell you the pg/vg ratio. Alien Visions uses ingredients from China and India. I'm so fustrated. I'm too new at this to do it myself, but I'll look into that for the future. Right now I just want my juice to be safe- all ingredients listed and USA made, pg/vg ratio listed, and from a reputable vendor (not someone sitting in their kitchen mixing with an online store). I'm open to organic and 100% vg juices as well. Can someone please help me before I lose my mind?!

First point, diacetyl is a naturally occurring chemical like nicotine, so organic does not mean "safe". (Organic beer will have the "D" word in it as will wine. Organic eggplant will have nicotine in it.) Read up on what is required to be labeled "organic". The term is mistakenly assumed to mean "safe" for some odd reason, but it's real easy to come up with deadly poisons that can be labeled as organic.

Second, no juice is going to be "safe". It's not safe to breathe non-pure air. It's even unsafe to breathe high oxygen content air. To humans, pure air has a very narrow ratio/range of just a few chemicals, or elements.

There are no long term studies on the effects of inhaling food flavorings... none...so how can anyone say it is safe?

To reduce risk the furthest, and still vape, then only non-flavored juice will do. Since that is the safest, but still not safe, way to go, that makes DIY real easy. You can source your own USP PG, USP VG, and nicotine solution and simply mix to the mg/ml you need. Cutting out the unknown and unsafe flavorings makes juice making a breeze.

I like ecblend, they mix their own juice and they do not import their nicotine. You can choose your PG/VG ratio, and they clearly state that they do not use diacetyl. If you want the safest juice, they have the option of getting flavorless. Here's some info they list on what's in their e-liquid, and quality control measures.

What's in E-Liquid?

I've had liquids that came from a garage and others from a large factory. In the end if something is done right, I have no issue with the where or who. I only care about the what and when.

Freshly made liquids and pure ingredients is what matters most. While I lean towards 100% USA liquids, Im always open to trying something at least once.

Between all the vendors Ive tried I had the best experience with Halo, MOV and PureVapes. I base this on the least amount of side effects, taste, nicotine consistency and overall satisfaction.

Dont be afraid to sample different vendors. Your sure to hit a few you dont care for, but you'll find some rather good stuff as well :toast:

Yes, this is a huge issue for me recently. I've found the right devices, batteries, and attys for me, but the liquid is the last part of this whole vaping thing that feels not quite right to me. I've been vaping and not smoking for over a year now, but the only pre-made liquid that has ever made me go "wow!" is boba's, and the only diy flavors are flavor arts apple pie, and nature's flavors gingerbread. And I have tried a lot of various vendor's juices, and made diy from five different flavor companies. And to top it all off, ave won't say exactly what is in boba's, nature's flavors is extraction so many of their flavors do contain trace amounts of diacetyl... (it recently came to light that cov used them for some flavors, butterscotch for example, I think they put a disclaimer up.) And I even think the fa apple pie I have might contain the D word... But I'm not sure.

If I could make something that was anywhere near the flavor profile of boba's, I would be totally satisfied, as I would actually know what I was vaping.

So anyway, I'm not sure what my point is, besides that I think it's high time for more of the innovators out there to start focusing on the flavoring aspect of this whole thing.
