Need to ask here because I don't have full rights yet, (oh after this post I do.)

But anyways, I'm pretty good with electics and was wondering if it's safe to use LiPo batteries?

It would be nice to use my LiPo charger as it will charge a LiPo in just around half an hour.

And yes I understand the issues/danger a LiPo can have, I use them in another hobby.

Thanks guys,

Craig

Hi!
LiPo batteries are awesome in rc helicopters and such, but they do NOT like powering an atomizer, which is almost a dead short across the terminals (averaging 2-3 ohms).
High current draw like that can be fatal to LiPo batts. Stick to protected Li-Ion and LiFePo or even NiMh batteries.
LiPo batts can be... expressive... if they're pushed hard!
Good luck!

just another point, i went to radioshack(I know I know) and the "educated" person there sold me a couple lisocl12 batteries and a charger, which he said would work with those batteries. after returning home i did look up batteries because i thought it was kinda fishy that i hadnt heard of liso batteries before, turns out they arent even rechargable. one guy reported that he blew up his workbench trying to do so. i have been very careful now when i buy a battery to make sure it is both rechargable and protected.
