The battery on a full charge only last about 2 1/2 maybe 3 hours using 40 to 50 watts max and a.6 ohm, .55 ohm or a .3 ohm kanthal/stainless steel coil. Wondering if anyone has had the issue I'm experiencing with their hcigar dna 200?

Solutions I've tried:
Updating firmware
Factory reset
Charging on 1 AMP and 2.1 AMP
Open battery cover made sure connections to the LiPO are secure

Should I RMA/Return?

a 2000 mAh at 4 volts = 8 watthours.
40 watts x 0.2 hours = 8 watthours.

0.2 hours = 12 minutes.

So if it's a 2000 mAh battery you're only going to get about 12 minutes continuous runtime on it.

From what I've been hearing the battery life of all the DNA200 devices suck

I am at 4 days without charging battery level is at 54%, 2200mah 3s LiPo. Its all about what battery you have.

Also these are 3s cells so its 11.1v not 4.
2000Mah = 22.2wh

1300mah = 14.43wh

The first thing i would do is hook the 200 up to escribe, navigate to the "Mod" tab and make sure that the watt hours are set to the correct number for your battery. For the 1300mah battery in your mod the watt hours should be set to 14.43.

If the watt hour number is not correct the board will throw a low battery error WAY before the battery is actually low.

A couple of other users already mentioned what I could say and that is to go to mod in Escribe and change the 9 in battery to 14.43. This was actually posted by Hcigar on their Facebook page as well so it is good advice. I got a settings profile from a guy on Facebook that makes it so my screen only stays on for like 2 seconds when I take a puff and that seems to help also. For me, I can get about 5-6 hours of use at 70 watts out of the battery and charge it fully with a 1 amp wall charger in 3 and 1/2 hours. Go through the Escribe tutorial and change things like how long your screen stays lit. That will help as well. I've heard some others here and on the DNA 200 board mention changing other things with the Lipo but I'm not inclined to mess with them as when they are done wrong it can really mess the battery up.
