So after having a bad run of weirdness with Johnson Creek Red Oak liquids (numbness in throat, heavy lung kind of feeling), I'm ready to find a different producer/liquid.

My question, though, is which have the best reputation for being safe and consistent, and being made with high-quality ingrediants. I want to steer away from VG and go back to a PG-based liquid due to some side-effects that I've had, and I'm not sure who to shop.

Thoughts?

Ahlusion
Alice In Vapeland
Alien Visions
Copper Creek
Goodejuice
Heather's Heavenly Vapes
Highbrow
Mt Baker Vapor
NiteLite Vapor
The Plume Room

Just some of the ones you'll hear a lot on this forum, and off the top of my head. There are lots and lots of quality vendors out there, dozens. juice is very subjective.

call me wrong for judging a book by its cover, but so many of these vendors' websites look like they were designed by a 4 year old in MS paint. Not saying that any of these guys aren't making awesome products, but it's very difficult for me to disassociate marketing with quality of product these days, even if that's not based on anything specific. It just makes everything seem all the more "homemade" and not regulated in any way, which is maybe scary considering we're breathing this stuff into our lungs.

anyone agree?

Well it isn't regulated in any way, no matter how well done the website is. That said, being a cautious and careful producer of e-liquid doesn't require you to also be a good web designer.

What I have begun to steer away from are vendors who appear to be very secretive about exactly what is in their products. I was a faithful to one vendor and recently switched due to this. I have the right to know what I am using, especially if it is going into my lungs. Not that the analogs I used were anything close to safe but having made the decision to make a change I want to know what I am switching to.

I have a friend who had such a bad reaction to an ejuice his mouth was red and icky, he ended up at the dentist with gum issues. He switched to a different vendor and the juice is too harsh for him but he has no idea what the ratios are because of the secrecy so it is hard for him now to know what and how much to adjust. This makes it difficult for folks who truly want to switch.
