Yes
If safety was the main objective, not vapour amount and not taste. Safety understood as minimizing risk of unknown substances burning with high temperature. vaping as close to pure VG with nicotine as possible.

What would be the ideal settings to vape with a subtank at?

Would it be with subohm coils or regular coils? I don't have temperature control capable battery.

30 watts is about as high as I go with my Subtank. I'm not a chemist but I know a little about the subject of scorching juice. Certain chemicals can release toxic vapors if heated to a certain degree but what I feel that you're worried about only comes with extreme heat. In the range of 1500 degrees and above or there about. Since most flavorings are the only variant of juices, some companies have submitted their juice and other's to lab's for analysis. Somewhere here there is a thread that has some of those findings.
