Salem menthol clone

My friend is a pretty heavy smoker who smoke Salem menthols. I just gave him one of my old Ego style e-cigs and he's hooked, loves it. I never smoked menthols and have never made a mix for one, I just gave him a straight tobacco mix. Would anyone have a recipe for Salem menthols? I just made a mix with the following:

NIC base 17/25 24 mg/ml 6.75 ml
PV 1 ml
VG .8 ml
TFA-tobacco 1 ml
TFA-Menthol .5ml

Tastes horrible to me but I never did like menthols anyway. Any thoughts?

I have to agree with the Kolada advice. For those who smoked Newport, Kool, or Camel Crush, the Kolada seems to really help them make the transition easier. Granted, my sample size is small (only 10 people), but it seems to make the difference for them. Even when they request I mix fruit flavors, they like them better with the kolada added.

Newport- Salem- same same. Not sure about the TFA menthol -is it a true menthol or a tobacco/menthol ? ( I have a Hangsen "deluxe menthol" and just hate it - too much tobacco flavor) The TFA may be OK - mix up a 3 ml batch w/o tabacco and give it a whirl. 1oz of crystals at $5 will make a LOT of menthol. I think some of these "ice" menthol e-juices have a fair bit of Koolada and peppermint for a real icy throat hit. I am new to the DIY jucies and just experimenting with all the mints. With all the sales coming this weekend- pick up some Koolada-peppermint-spearmint-wintergreen-mint flavorings and have fun. Being new to this- I think mixing menthol's is very forgiving for they all kind of taste alike making it hard to make an unvapeable batch. - I may be all wet on this option.
