First off, I love madvapes. Great liquids, low prices and excellent customer service. Thank you madvapes!

Onto business though. After vaping 36mg Mad 4 I stepped down to 24mg a while back and my last order was for 50ml 18mg. I didn't notice any difference in color or taste between 36mg and 24mg. The first thing I noticed with the 18mg was that it was a tan (or yellowish) color, whereas previously the same liquid (at 36mg and 24mg) was much more of a pinkish color. The flavor was off as well. In fact, the flavor wasn't even in the same ballpark, in no way did this liquid resemble Mad 4.

I submitted a ticket and Madvapes was kind enough to credit my account with enough points to reorder. I was told that the discrepancies in color and flavor were caused by the lower nicotine level. The 18mg Mad 4 I had received was extremely bitter and tasted almost like detergent. It was nothing like the other bottles (of higher nicotine content) I had previously received. How much does the amount of nicotine alter the flavor of liquids? Do liquids at various nicotine levels actually taste drastically different or, did I most likely just get part of a bad batch?

I would love to reorder 18mg Mad 4 but, I'm afraid I'll just end up having the same problem.

chances are the levels in which you are used to vaping (36mg-24mg) you were used to a certain flavor. when stepping down in NIC levels you will notice a change in overall flavor. Meaning it usualy tastes better, but if you are getting a "detergant" taste let it steep for a few days and try in again, this usually solves the issue. High NIC levels does alter flavor to a degree so stepping down you might be getting the true flavor. I havent tried their MAD4 to know but let it steep then give it another shot! hope this helps

I haven't touched the bottle since I posted, probably going to leave it for another week. So, less nicotine usually means better flavor. I'm not sure that's the case here. My main concern when starting this thread was really TopVapor. A few reviews, for a different TV liquids, have been saying the same thing lately on MadVapes. Some people have been saying that their favorite liquids have all of a sudden tasted completely different, bitter, like my last order.

I've never really steeped any of my liquids in the past, I usually only purchase one bottle at a time. I just got some new samples in though so, this time around I'm definitely taking your advice. Thanks for the reply :)
